Today as i was walking back home, i was thinking of the good old days, the 90s. Times were great back then, politics wasnt a big issue, crime rates were lower (i think), anything is fashion seemed acceptable, TV shows had originality and there was a whole lot more to do. When i was younger, i would go to school and enjoy it, teachers were nice, there was hardly any bullies, and not every kid who listened to rap thought they were gangster etc. Times have changed now, we see children growing up with hatred of a country because of what they see on TV and what they hear from there parents. I think we are losing our freedom yet we do not seem to understand. For eg, now that politics is a big issue, many are scared for there own safety, everyone is on the alert for "terrorists", all you hear at school is politics, all you hear on TV is politics. Politics is really taking the most out of living nowadays. If it wasnt for the governments, i bet the world would be at peace.
Isnt it funny how the word poli in latin means many and tics meaning bloodsucking creatures?

you lived in a diiferent 90's than i did, the biggest thing i remember about the 90's is how much turmoil was starting to happen in society. i think that's one of the reasons grunge was so popular, it was about trouble a brewin' under the facade. (yes, i was one of those dumb kids with a flannel shirt and long hair)

Yes i guess your right, its different all around the world. But at that time i used to live in Australia, it was so great, news actually had some interesting things to say, nowadays its just "terrorists" "iraq" "bush" "US" "war" "palestine" etc the list goes on forever...
