It appears that the June 11th, 2005 Arturo Gatti vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. dream fight may happen after all.

Mayweather faced up to 93 days in jail and a $500 fine for the assault of nightclub bouncer William Morris on Dec. 18, 2003. Morris claimed that a Mayweather friend broke a bottle over his head and Floyd kicked him while he was on the ground. Mayweather plead no contest to the charge of misdemeanor assault and battery.

Mayweather was sentenced earlier today by Judge Michael Christensen of 61st District Court. He was fined $935 dollars and ordered to perform 80 days of community service but was given no jail time.

The judge had sympathy for Mayweather and did not want to give him three months in jail, the judge knew a jail sentence would ruin his career.

think too much being put up for this fight, Mayweather be too skilled for Gatti and fast. Hope it turns out better than I think it will but I would not bet on it being much of a fight;. :boxing:
