If he hadn't been such a *****-ass in the second fight, he would've gotten the decision. He ran around like a *****cat with chili up it's ass.

For some, getting beat is discouraging. But for some others, it's a wake up call. So hopefully, what you heard is true. I'm not expecting him to box like Spinks, but an improve Mayorga nonetheless.

What happened at the Mayorga Camp:

1. Ricardo fired his trainer after the Trinidad fight, apparently he said that his trainer wasn't pushing him. Didn't even care if he trained or not

2. Hired two of his relatives that he says push him to his limits

3. Run and does abs by himself, not part of training. He's trying to get himself to superb shape

4. Working on defense

5. Asking for a rematch with Trinidad; they talked to Don King and he said maybe after he wins the Belt from Castillejo

6. Thats all I know so far

I may go and see the Golota-Brewster fight live just to see this card.

You CAN'T. I repeat, You CAN'T fight someone after he's beaten you twice. No questions asked. I suggest Forrest avoids Mayorga, for real.

Hopkins fought and beat Allen three times.

One was a no contest, so it's not really an official win. I dunno if he beat him first, then the no-contest, then the 12 rd. decision. But if you lose the first two fights, there's no way you can try to win for a third time.

did anyone else think forrest won the second match? i did and i thought he was a good fighter. he should fight cory spinks at 154 in his comeback fight. that way there is no risk of getting KO'd and he can show what he has left against a very good fighter

Like the fight with Spinks but not as his comeback he should take a fight prior to that one, Spinks would be to much 1st up.

No I didn't think he won the second fight - he just didn't do enough for me, no denying his ability though - lets hope he's still got it, for me though I think those loses to Mayorga will have damaged him badly.

then hopefully he can follow it up with some rights

Many people would find that fight boring, I see Forrest winning by KO in the later rounds, if you make Spinks move excessively in the beginning rounds, he moves much less come the last four rounds of the fight. I'd definately love to see it and would find it very interesting.

Vernon Forest is a poor man ronald Wright. He will struggle at Light-Middleweight notice he stopped calling any names but I know Kasim Ouma wants to bust his arse.

I used to like to Forest up and until he lost Mayorga. I think he wants fighting the best I have ever seen until he got stopped.

Losing in boxing is such a crime these days. One loss can mentally destroy a fighter these days.
Imagine if Marvin Hagler folded up the tent after he struggled with/lost to some of those Philly middles ?


Vernon is no bum for losing to Mayorga....it's a shame so many, himself included, think that's the case.

I really used to like Vernon Forrest especially he after he beat Mosleys ass bad. I thought this guy would be the next great thing to come alon in the welters but Mayorga ruined that.

I wonder how Forrest would fare against Zab Judah?
