We started remodeling our downstairs. We've put in PERGO flooring and we're nearly done. We'd be done except for the fact that we found mold under the baseboard in the last room. So we rip it out and find it all along that 16 foot wall. On the other side of the wall is an open space to a brick facade under the window, on the outside. The contractor didn't put any type of vapor barrier or wall between the facade and the actual inside wall. It rained and over time eroded the mortar where it allowed water into the facade and it got MOLDY.

Two daughters and I are highly allergic to mold. So I ripped it out (wore a good mask)we put up vapor barrier and new insulation and greenboard. YAY! We're going to rip off the facade at a later date and wall it up.

Then I trip and land hard on the bad foot and they think I cracked one of the bones.......

I'm gonna cry now.....

aww hun, hugs! Really hope you're alright with your foot, and quite happy you were able to be the hero-mom and save the day fixing all of that.
