good show tonight. the fight was a little boring, but like they said "a win is a win."

Leben needed some serious tissues after that.

Forrest griffin as an ape was the highlight of this episode lol

Next weeks looks like a good one, with the preview showing that there is some drama about the decision for the light heavyweight fight...

Boring fight, but a good win for Koscheck. He took Leben down, and dominated him. Neither fighter did much damage but like I said to Hockeyfighter

**** all vs **** all and 3 takedowns=The takedowns win.

Leben should of turned to his knees a couple of times in his fight. Too many fighters, even professional ones, think turning to your knees is the same as given up your back. Its not.

Leben got exposed for his lack of ground game, same thing Doerkson did to him almost in a less exciting way. Josh showed he's nothing bt a pure wrestler. His stand up isn't there, his stance even sucks and he lacks ability to pass guard or do damage on the ground. Someone more aggressive on the ground will beat him. He'd never be ready for the UFC.

What the crap was Leben working for at the end? It resembled a ****ty triangle attempt but would have been easy to go for a omaplata or flower sweep from there. Of course I'm a guy that loves flower sweeps so I always see them when there is an opening.

He knew his best bet was to go with his strengths and that is wrestling. He was right. Leben had no answer for his takedowns or top control. He wasn't flashy but he did what he had to do against a much more experienced guy.

But hey, Leben talked a helluva game. And then cried.

Again.

Thanks Shaolin Bushido.

Its too bad about Leben though. If he had just thrown some punches, he could of killed Josh. Josh had his hands wide open, and everytime Leben threw a punch, Josh moved straight back.

All Chris had to do was throw some combos. Just throw a jab and catch him with a cross as Josh backed up. The opening was there, he just didn't take it.

I guess the pressure of TV and so much riding on it along with his wariness of Koscheck's wrestlin ability just added up to him thinkin too much.

I'll be the first to admit that Koscheck showed nothing else but wrestling but hey, it was enough tonite.

you cannot talk **** about him cryin after the loss.

Man i'd take a loss badly too especially if it was some boring ass bul**** like that! Not even that it was boring but that just being held down, it makes you feel helpless and question yourself.

Ah ****, I missed another episode again. I'll catch the replay later this week.

Anyway, on paper, Leben had MUCH better credentials than Koscheck. But I guess all that **** doesn't mean anything when you step in the ring.

i disagree that it was "bull****". josh had a gameplan, executed it perfectly, and won. sure it pissed off leben being helpless on the ground, that's the idea. it's piss josh off if he got KO'd just as much.

on another note, randy rowe posted on the forum for the place i train at that he knows for a fact that leben and josh fight again on that big finale show with ken shamrock and franklyn and the lt. heavyweight and middleweight finale fights.

I actually heard the Leben will be in UFC within the next 3 events at 170.

I think this fight is the typical example that show how much the UFC rules and judging favors wrestlers. I think Leben gave Josh a little too much respect; he should have come out blasting because either way he was gonna end up on his back.

I wonder if it was scored under the Pride system, would it have been a unan. decision for Koscheck. I doubt it. Leben was the only one who ever tried to finish the fight. I'm looking forward to seeing someone knock Koscheck's head off. The guy's stand up looked hella weak.

Chris didn't defend the take down as vigorously as he should have, but I thought he did pretty good work from the bottom. I was actually surprised to hear Unanimous Decision from Dana White. Koscheck scored a handful of nice takedowns which seemed to be Leben's only weakness besides the fact he seemed to get winded fast, but once Josh had him on his back he didn't really do anything.

If Koscheck had lost via brutal Ko or getting choked out would anyone be sympathetic to him?

Leben got his big mouth shut and then cried again like a little baby.
