There is a possibility that Erik will win (actually i believe it's a 50/50 chance that he will so anything can happen, no one has the edge it could both go either way). If Erik could pull a win over Pacquiao, what could be Barrera's plan then? Would that give him a reason to forget Pacquiao and fight anyone he wants. Anyway, there's no assurace he could redeem himself from that devastating loss he suffered from the hands of Pacquiao, isn't it? So, that would give him so many options. What is on Barrera's mind now? Is he wishing for a Pacquiao victory or a Morales' win?

According to GerardoQ (His official site admin), he's rootin for Morales.

reasons could be:
Because his Mexican or Because he dont want to fight Pacman again.

But im sure Oscar DelaHoya wants a PACMAN Victory $$$$$$$

Barrera should fight Pac, whether if pac wins or loses. Barrera will always be known for ducking Pac. But I think this fight will be set up immediately after the Pac/Morales fight. Win or Lose this fight should happen. I mean.. the fans want this fight to happen right?

barrera would fight pac regardless of the outcome of the morales pac fight

Regardless of the Pac vs. Morales fight's outcome, there's still unfinished business between the two of them. Alot will be put to rest when the fight again. Did Barrera have a "bad night" like he said or is Pac just a bad matchup against him. Those two still have to fight to answer those questions.

Barrera-Pac 2 is practically in the bag win or loose for Pac. Barrera would still want to redeem himself, even more so if Pac looses to Morales, his confidence would shoot through the roof.
A Pac win over Morales would generate more money for a Pac-Barrera 2, no **** DLH's rooting for Pac.

I definitely agree with you dude

whatever the outcome of this fight, will only make Pac-MAB fight even more colorful

This is what i like about the featherweights... they're going after each other!

Sucks to be JMM.. He has to wait after Barrera, who is waiting after Morales...

it's marquez's fault... pacman is doing great with his career, so does barrera and morales

in the end, marquez will end up fighting nobodies, all those potential superfighters have left his division

but, if ever morales does lose, what will happen to him? any idea?

damn.. what if Morales loses? No point fighting Barrera for a fourth time.. he could move up and fight Casamayor? Dont know

he said, prior to the barrera fight, that he still needs two more fight (one against barrera) in the superfeatherweight division before moving up. if he still loses this fight against pac, then he'll be going up with very low morale....

a lose to pacman may start the end of his career...

yes no doubt... why he move up to the bigger division if he suffered to losses in his natural division?

It will all depend on the pay day. If he does lose Barrera may fear him less and want to fight him just to get redemption from his loss.

and a lose against pacquiao will put him at the lower part of the superfeatherweight ranking, which means less opportunities for megabuck fights

he can't, and i think it's stupid, for him to go down to featherweight... younger fighters are emerging in that division already

Possibly. Or maybe these two would only have his number. I think he can still be competitive at 135.

i would love pacman to win by a ko
but it doesn't mean i hate morales....
this guy along with barrera fought the best in their division and its a pity for great fighters to lose back-to-back

but on the contrary, if this scenario happens to marquez, i'll be delighted, though

yes mab should fight pac even if(and when)he losses. mab looked extremely bad against pac and he needs to prove that what happened will not ever happen again. btw i feel pac has mab's number so i think if the fight were to happen pac wins by UD.

I'd say it depends how Morales would lose. If by a devastating KO, maybe its the end for Erik. But if by decision or not so devastating TKO, he might say he is not himself or he just had a bad night like MAB, he will surely go for a rematch (hey if we want JMM-PAC 2, MAB-PAC 2, who would not want ERIK-PAC 2?) This could be his last option for another big payday. Ano sa tingin nyo mga igan?
