Its inevitable I think which is a shame as Alonso is a top player who will be hard to replace.

Madrid hope to agree a player plus cash deal using either Huntlaar or Negrado I've heard. Benitez wants cash to buy Villa.

Personally I would prefer the cash and go for Villa but either deal looks OK.

huge loss for the kopites. first season he was outstanding then for 2 seasons was average. talk of Rafa selling him last year gave him a kick up the arse. Defour? He is an excellent player. We(Everton) have been linked with him this summer and would love him at Goodison. I think Liverpool will make a move for him. Aquilani is abit injury proned so think will bring in another player in.

We're not after Villa this summer and never were. Silva has been the third target all along.
