Pac, Leonard, Hearns & Jones are up there to.. boxingbuff 07-29-2009, 05:23 PM We all know Henry Armsrong held 3 titles AT THE SAME TIME!! How many did Duran win,4? mickey malone 07-29-2009, 05:28 PM We all know Henry Armsrong held 3 titles AT THE SAME TIME!! How many did Duran win,4? LW WW LM MW 4's right.. Shiranui 07-30-2009, 01:04 AM He's speaking of titles, not weight classes. This means it is likely to be a fighter in recent years with the establishment of the four-belt system. That said, I think it may well be DLH, as fighters tend to win titles at different weights more often than unify extensively. Thought Roy Jones Jr might be close, but he had 6. Holyfield had the 3 at CW, then 3 from Douglas, 2 from Bowe, 1 from Tyson, 1 from Moorer, 1 from Ruiz, for a total of 10. But some of Holyfields were repeats of the same belt, so 6 if you don't count those. Shiranui 07-30-2009, 04:15 AM De La Hoya has 9, I believe. Thought Roy Jones Jr might be close, but he had 6. Holyfield is the only other name I can think of that has collected a truly large number of titles, so unless we're just drawing a huge blank I'm willing to bet it's these two. Looks like Thomas Hearns had 6 as well, would've been 7 if he'd gotten the nod against Leonard in the rematch, or if you count rewinning his WBC JMW title. Stoppage 07-30-2009, 04:36 AM I think Oscar De La Hoya has the most RightCross94 07-30-2009, 08:40 AM DLH or Evander i would think, maybe tommy hearns or ray leonard or duran is up there too TheGreatA 07-30-2009, 10:41 AM Evander Holyfield unified the WBC, WBA & IBF cruiserweight titles, won the WBC, WBA & IBF titles from Douglas, regained the WBA & IBF titles against Bowe (II), WBA title against Tyson, IBF title against Moorer, vacant WBA title against Ruiz. Caesar 08-02-2009, 05:42 AM can somebody tell me who DLH is? Muhammad Ali, Lennox Lewis, Vitali Klitschko and Evender Holyfield had won the title four times. |
