i have to say Silva by inside low kick to hopkins aging crusty knee.

the only guy at middle that i can see beating hopkins is jermain taylor. ive never seen anderson silva fight and iam assuming he is mma.

he's a mauy thai expert that competes in mma.

i dont think hopkins would allow silva near him, using a stiff jab and body shots to wear silva down.

you could only back up too far, anderson silva is a top notch kickboxer too, so he knows how to defend against punches, he would close the distance, clinch, and takedown.....

also, hopkins wont be ready for the kicks, you can be out of punching range and still deliver a hard kick too the legs, body, or head. but in a straight up boxing match, silva wouldnt have a chance, in a mma fight silva wins easy....

i totally agree, hopkins is a great boxer, but it is 2 different sports where talkin about here. they are both combat sports, but you have to be more than just a great boxer to be successful in mma. now give hopkins some training on takedown defence and submission defence, then it would be a different story....

agree. anything that hopkins lands will hurt and quite possibily end the match.
silva can throw a testing jab and manage to act like he's about to throw a fallow up punch only to set up kicks and confuse hopkins.

boxers legs are not as conditioned as kickboxers, so i can't see a boxer walking after 5 stiff low kicks or from a single clean inside low kick to thier lead knee/leg.

at least a kicboxer is aware of the areas in the sweet sceince,i mean they do incorporate boxing... unlike boxers that don't know about kicks and knees and actual clitching to be use as offense....kickboxers know what not to and what to use against a superior boxer in boxers.

i think silva can win in both mma and a kickboxing ring, but of course he has no chance in flying hell to making it pass the 1st rd against hopkins in a boxing bout.
