I never thought it would happen and never got my hopes up.. so no suprise here.. and could care less about anything to do with him.. all bark no bite.. it's easy to tell everyone how great you are but to prove it is another thing and that's something Mundine has never done.. After turning down that second fight with Kessler just shows Mundine is just scared and is quite happy fighting bums for the rest of hes career.. but according to ULT and hes Reliable sources.. he should of already secured fights with Calzaghe, Winky, JTaylor, Pavlik.. I guess they must of ducked him. Read an interview of Mundine in a Zoo mag this arvo... Wow what a delusional knobhead.. comparing himself to the likes of Leonard even saying he's just as good if not better... theres a few Differences, Leonard fought and beat world class fighters in a stacked divison, won world titles from real champions, not vacant paper belts against contenders.. Mundine has lost every real fight on the world stage mostly against average champs.. I just hope Mundine grows a pair of balls and decides to fight someone with a pulse.. Because he will get KTFO! and he needs a reality check. boxing_great 07-28-2009, 09:30 AM We have been hearing how he is suppose to be fighting a world class opponent for years now.. Not only is he fighting B and C class fighters but he is asking them to blow up first. THis is just such bull****. boxing_great 07-28-2009, 11:56 PM Let's go Robbie , let's go! Infern0 07-29-2009, 12:07 AM You have to hand it to mundine, he really is taking the hardest fights out there Dan... 07-29-2009, 12:20 AM You have to hand it to mundine, he really is taking the hardest fights out there Yep. Anthony is relentless in his noble quest to wipe out all of Australia's B-level blown up Welterweights. Infern0 07-29-2009, 12:32 AM My only problem with mundine is that lately is that he seems to be ducking asian kickboxers, not a good sigh RightCross94 07-29-2009, 02:01 AM Is this a joke? Isn't Medley a WW!!!!! this has to be a joke Dan... 07-29-2009, 02:24 AM Is this a joke? Isn't Medley a WW!!!!! this has to be a joke I agree man. The mere insinuation that Mundine would even consider fighting a man whose natural fighting weight is below his own is almost insulting to my very being! mgkirkpatrick 07-29-2009, 03:49 AM mundine's step onto the world stage.. involves fighting a domestic level welterweight who has lost both times he's stepped up in class even at that weight. that's no criticism of medley.. **** it's a career best payday and you can't really begrudge him for taking it.. but seriously mundine.. Philfy 07-29-2009, 08:30 AM I've been hoodwinked again. Shame on you Anthony Mundine for deceiving me. I don't know which is worse, this or Karmichael Hunt playing AFL. Actually never mind, I don't need an answer to that question. Hopefully Katsidis or Sakio can land a fight on the Mayweather/Marquez undercard. Now that would make me feel a bit better. Dan... 07-29-2009, 05:32 PM don't bet your life on it, but people in the know are saying it's a done deal. Dude are you ever aware of any figures relating to these deals? I wouldn't mind knowing how much Anthony makes for a fight like this. Dan... 07-29-2009, 05:32 PM I've been hoodwinked again. Shame on you Anthony Mundine for deceiving me. Yeah there are articles going round suggesting that both could be on that card. Now that would be fukn awesome. cace 07-29-2009, 11:17 PM the man wants joy:eek: http://www.fijitimes.com/story.aspx?id=126444:killyou: talks of another top notch opponent for the man:nonono::nonono: Dan... 07-29-2009, 11:20 PM That has to be a joke. That individual got stopped by Crazy Kim and recently dropped a decision to a bloke with 2 fights. It is a joke for sure. cace 07-30-2009, 04:55 AM i certainly hope it is a joke mnop872 07-30-2009, 11:06 PM He has made his weapons his gods. When his weapons win he is defeated himself. Greatwhitehope 07-30-2009, 11:51 PM Can someone elaborate on who exactly Medley and this ALi fella are? I know very little of them. Dan... 07-31-2009, 12:02 AM Can someone elaborate on who exactly Medley and this ALi fella are? I know very little of them. Never heard of the Ali guy, not really sure who will have information on him to be honest. Medley is a 147/154 pounder. He is probably one of the best at those weights in Australia. He fights a lot on Fox Sports. He has lost two fights - both when he tried to step up in class against Isaac Hlatshwayo to fight for the IBO belt at 147. He lost the first fight by a pretty wide decision if I remember correctly and was stopped late on in the second. Clearly outclassed in both fights. Hlatshwayo is a decent Welter but well below the level of the top class guys. I think the Ring usually rates him around #10. Not only is Robbie not in Mundine's class but he isn't even close to being in his weight division. He looks out of shape even at 154 IMO. He is a welterweight. Mundine would stop Medley I think. Robbie is too easy to hit and Mundine would just be able to tee off on him. It would be a disgraceful fight. As far as the Ali guy is concerned, he is surely a lot below Medley's standard. As I said yesterday, he recently dropped a decision to a guy with a record of 1-1. skyler 07-31-2009, 08:55 AM Mundine always taking on the best out there as usual.. but for real Sakio Bika was calling Mundine out on 10 news last night.. Mundine needs grow a pair and fight him.. Bika is not so great technique wise but hes got that nonstop pressure that Mundine doesn't seem to handle so well... Bika would take Mundine to pieces at this point, and Mundine is fully aware of that. Watch Mundine fight a few more domestic guys and then hang them up "as a world champion". skyler 07-31-2009, 10:35 AM LOL. You are nuts if you think Anthony is going within a million miles of Bika. I know he wont.. iv already stated in this thread that I think Mundine will end hes career fighting bums in Australia.. I just hope one of them lands that lucky shot and puts hes lights out and finally puts an end to hes fraud of a career.. Iv always said Mundine can't fight under pressure he needs the space to get hes shots off and he really only fights in bursts, so then you have a guy like Bika who is constantly on the front foot smothering you with punches and making you fight hes fight.. there will be no time for Mundine to rest because Bika is relentless and will be on Mundine from round 1.. Geale already showed what keeping busy with hes hands and abit of pressure can do, and IMO Bika is a lot better then Geale and hes just got that style to rough Mundine up and make him uncomfortable, he also has some decent power in hes hands that would finally see the end of Mundine i think. Yeah, Medley is a good domestic fighter but when he tried to step it up to a legit world level contender in Hlatshwayo he was thoroughly beaten twice. Hlatshwayo is a good fighter though and is ranked by the Ring. So anyway he would get blitzed by Mundine, not a fair fight at all. I agree with all this mate. Anthony gets beaten by any reasonable pressure fighter with some power now I think.
