He just swings wild punches and can throw alot but he will never beat a top fighter. Everyone saw what I was trying to tell them when he fought Santos. Santos has no power and hurt him, and he was out boxing him. Then he looked like garbage tonight.

He throws wide punches that a good boxer can easily defend and his defense stinks, not to mention that his chin is suspect. Alot of you were saying that he would beat Mayorga, Judah, and Mosley. he's like mayorga but with a lil bit of style and boxing ability...the guy always get hit a lot in first few rounds then his stamina and chin keeps him in it,making fighting exciting and ultimtely ko'ing most of his opponents in late round- :D

Thats what everyone says but I dont see his boxing ability. He is always getting out boxed by people. The difference is that Mayorga has more power, is more explosive, and is much more ruthless

---true,but margarito is still exciting and delivers great fights and he does have some boxing skills...he always takes over after 4th rounds and starts to land at will the more rounds that pass...especially after 10round...because he fights the 10-12th rounds like he is in the 1st round,his stamina is great and has good power..anyway the Cintron/Margarito fight will answer a lot..if cintron doesnt take out margarito out early (way easier said then done) then it will be over because cintron stamina and chin will let him down after 5-6th round

I don't think Margarito would beat Judah or Mosley but he stll an upper level fighter. He knows how to win rounds and can box effectivly against any style, plus he one of the most entertaining fighters around I think is kinda hard not to like the guy

Margarito might not be the most technically sound fighter in the world, but to a point thats what makes him exciting.

He has a good chin, Very good power, and stamina thats a throw back to the 15 round fighters. His style is exciting and is a dangerous guy to anyone he faces wether it be boxer or puncher. He is the kind of guy you could pound on for 11 rounds and he still in front of you swinging with full power in the 12th, and that power could very well be enough to put you to sleep. Add to that he brings no money or fame to the table it doesnt take much to see why the top guys around those weights stay away from him.

How can you say that when everyone on ESPN had him losing 4 of the first 5 rounds. I have so many of my favorites who arent black

We are talking about a guy that is Physically bigger, stronger, more active, and probably more durable than any other fighter he has ever fought. Margarito would play the Numbers game and he is bound to land, I believe Margarito to be a bigger puncher than Chop chop who hurt Floyd. He could catch him and it could be over. (keep in mind im not saying this is what would happen... im saying this is what COULD happen)

Spinks doesnt respond well to pressure with the jab something Margarito does a lot and how Zab was able to land a clean shot on spinks that disoriented him and ultimately caused the stoppage. Putting pressure behind a the jab is what Margarito is all about, his power, and activity level would also be greater than Judah's.

Mosley has had a hard time against physically impossing fighter by the name of Winky Wright. Mosley doesnt always like to use the jab allowing Margarito to pull off a Vernon Forrest giving him trouble with his superior strength.

He's BIG man! Well, he's tall. That should be a great weapon in his arsenal but he fights "small" too much. His biggest asset to me is related to his height and that's his reach. He used that especially well against numbnutz tonite in beating him to the punch.
