F1 2008 championship runner up Felipe Massa suffered a serious accident at today's Hungarian grand prix after being struck by a suspension component from Barrichello car. After being struck in the head Massa's car smashed into a barrier at high speeds. Initial reports suggested it was only a minor injury but Ferrari has confirmed that Massa has suffered from bone damage to his skull and a brain concussion he has been taking into hospital for surgery and is currently under observation in intensive care. Hope he is ok.

yeah me to, some people are now saying he has suffered some sort of eye injury and damage to his skull which could end his career just hope its not serious.

He's in a stable condition after having an emergency op, he suffered a fractured forehead and base of skull.

I do hope hes OK and it don't affect his career ...hes one of the sports most genuine nice guys and also a dam good driver

That picture is nasty.

When you're doing close to 200mph, things can turn nasty.

Looks like he might be forced to retire due to the eye injury, hope not he has really proved him self to be a good driver and the last race of the season in 2008 was great.
