Are you serious? 20 pushups and 20 situps.
Start with 500 of each and some pullups and handstand pushups.
20 will get you nowhere at all. You only have 2 weeks so you may want to plan this for your next trip.
reedickyaluss 07-23-2009, 03:56 PM 20 pushups once a day?
i do 3 sets of 50
If your out of shape a gamboa body will take u 6 months MINMUM and thats being ridiculously strict on diet and killin urself in the gym everyday

You need muscle in the first place to have a good body
VERSATILE2K12 07-23-2009, 06:21 PM How about you work on getting your own damn body. I'm sure that's how most of the boxing stars do it.

GroundSt.Pound 07-23-2009, 06:42 PM You can't even get in shape in that short amount of time with AAS.
20 push up and 20 situps isn't going to do ****
You can try all you want but you will never look 100% like another person no matter how hard you try.

on a serious note,
u got 2 weeks?
run everyday for 2 weeks 3-5 miles a day
eat once a day (never eat when your about to go to sleep) try to eat around 2-3 pm, then run around 8-9 pm come home, do push ups & 3 types of ab work.
be vigilant, & i guarantee u will lose some lbs.
RightCross94 07-23-2009, 06:48 PM Well 2 weeks aint long enough to get a gamboa type body, that takes years of work in a boxing gym.
You can make a start by jogging for as long as you can every morning (try to do about 20 mins), doing as many pushups per day as you can (start with as many sets of 20 as you can, spread out through the day) and do the same with situps. And eat really really clean, dont eat any junk food whatsoever (no pizza, no fries, not anything fried, no lollies, no ice cream, no sodas, no potato chips etc), drink lots of water and eat small portions too
and walk EVERYWHERE even to work if possible
and do that every single day until you have to go on holidays, you only have 2 weeks
with that, you might lose 4-5kg
Kinetic Linking 07-23-2009, 06:49 PM If you already know what you're doing from a lot of experience you can get in shape fast as ****. I knew a distance runner who only took a week or two to get into competition shape.
The problem is it takes a long time to get that experience. Without it, you'll probably **** up completely and utterly. So basically the answer is you can't. You're welcome.

yea 500 of each, a better diet
although he probably does closer to 1000 of each
DonTaseMeBrah 07-23-2009, 07:05 PM trust me brah,
eat once a day, 2-3 pm (eat healthy), run 3-5 miles around 8-9 pm, come home do 50 push ups (break it down to 2 sets of 20, then 1 set of 10 to finish up, then 3 types of abwork do a minimum of 200 sit ups)
drink lots of water & green tea, never eat when your about to go to sleep,
do this everyday for 2 weeks you'll be ready to show your guts to bust some guts.

DonTaseMeBrah 07-23-2009, 07:21 PM eat once a day? haha dumbest **** i heard......

plenty of people eat once a day. if i get hungry at night i just eat fruits & drink tea.
Joe Frazier 07-23-2009, 07:27 PM I know a lot of guys who are extremely built who only eat one full meal per day too.

Seriously, is this a joke?
Tell me this is a joke.
He has worked his entire life to look like that.
WARNING: HARD DOSE OF REALITY FOLLOWS:
Gamboa was an amateur boxer who WON the M--therf---n' OLYMPICS. He's had hundreds of fights, which means has been working out harder and longer than most of us can imagine, most likely every day since he was a child. Athletes of his caliber exercise -- or learn new ways to exercise -- pretty much all day, every day: a typical day for a professional boxer might include sparring, weights, padwork, running, swimming, skipping, stretching, and drills, all interspersed with rest, carefully-calculated nutrition, and studying new ways to kick ass in the ring. Exercising is their JOB. A fighter's physique is a byproduct of his training; the only way to get the physique of a professional boxer is to box professionally.
Saying you want to look like that in 2 weeks, on 20 pushups and 20 situps a day, while eating fast food, is like going to a drag racer's forum and asking, "How can I make my Ford Focus go as fast as an Indy car? Will premium gas make it go that fast?"
On the one hand, I don't want to be a jerk, but on the other hand -- Jesus Holy S#it Christ. What is it these days? A whole generation that wants a pill they can take that will make them look like the guys on TV. While eating fast food.
I still cannot believe you asked this fvcking question.
You want his physique without dedicating your life to it? It doesn't happen like that. This isn't your Xbox, this isn't even your fvcking Wii. This is not a fansite, either; that's over in the "Nonstop Boxing" forum. Someone over there might have a link to Gamboa's routine. You might want to check it out. Meanwhile, this is a training forum for competitive fighters. Please move along.
I will tell you this: if you're serious about looking good quickly, I'd suggest throwing down the coin and getting P90X. It's expensive and painful and time-consuming -- and you'll have to give up junk food -- but it works.

It is true. Many people get by on one meal a day. And are extremely fit for it. They have had to train their bodies to cope and work very hard.
Dynamite Glove 07-24-2009, 04:13 PM I don't see how any successful boxer could make one meal a day work. When I screw up on my diet and train, I seriously lack in energy throughout the entire spectrum of my training. As long as I eat a healthy breakfast, have a healthy midmorning snack, and eat a nice late lunch with wheat complex carbs then drink my shake and eat my amino pill...I'm a beast.

well honestely i think it's all in your metabolism....if you got a fast metabolism then yeah you probaly need to eat more than once....but if it's low then 1 meal would be enough maybe 2 but you can't eat at night or that ****s up the process.

eating more increases your metabolism, its the entire reason your supposed to eat 6-7 small healthy meals a day... to keep your engine running
sukhenkoy 07-24-2009, 06:03 PM I have a fast metabolism and I usually get by on one meal a day because of my work schedule.
TRANSWARP 07-24-2009, 07:27 PM ****ing clueless rat **** heads, unless you're eating 3000+ calories in one meal I don't see how you can be telling the truth, you do realise as boxers, just to maintain weight you must consume more than the recomended calories? I mean how the fuk will you fuel your workout, what a bunch of bafoons.
Nick Fury 07-24-2009, 07:48 PM If I had one meal per day I'd probably die. I have breakfast at 7. Snack at 10. Lunch at 1230. snack at 230. shake at 5. dinner at around 730. and probably some other snack at around 930-10. I have never heard of anyone who eats one meal per day....maybe 300 pound mothers trying to lose some weight before bikini season, but other that them I really doubt anyone who does some kind of workout can function with one meal per day.

Did u read the TS question?
the guy is not trying to be a successful boxer or training for the olympics. he just wants to lose some pounds in 2 weeks before his vacation.
He just wants to look good in a bikini.
thats all.
settle down brahs.....
them_apples 07-24-2009, 10:35 PM why did you used gamboa as an example???
timothy bradley's body is incredible compared to gamboa's
http://www.aworldofboxing.com/Boxers/Timothy_Bradley.jpg
I'd much rather have gamboas body, it's a lot more symmetrical, powerful looking.
yeykax 07-24-2009, 11:23 PM you or any body in this world will get a body like that in 2 weeks that takes more than a year to get like that!!!!
I3C727 07-24-2009, 11:32 PM this thread is hilarious
fraidycat 07-25-2009, 01:37 AM I really want to believe that this guy is a troll, but reading over his posts in Non Stop Boxing I think he's for real. Another clueless wannabe who has NO IDEA what's actually involved in the sport.
537Bwouaye 07-25-2009, 03:03 AM People talking about getting one meal a day are probably skinny wild homos thinking they fit and shiet.... You CAN'T be training seriously and eat only once a day.... The more you train, the more food you need to build muscle and the more food you need because your metabolism goes twice as fast and will start eating up your muscles if you don't eat enough... Eating once a day is the WORST thing you could do... It's exactly the opposite thing of what you should do to get a "Gamboa" body.
You should get A LOT of small meals and do hard training routine. Eating once a day is some girl shiet that will kill you... Don't tell me it works for you, post your pics and let us judge (... and tell you how weak you look like...) :D
Mozza 07-25-2009, 01:51 PM Try and get a hold of Ricky Hatton's training plan. That's about as close as you'll get.

this is what i would have posted.
nobody, i say NOBODY can workout seriously (!!) over a longer period of time with one meal a day (not a 3000kcal meal). this is harm to your body!
i have a huge nutrition background so i really know what i'm saying.
