View Full Version : Is my Shoulder Messed Up?

I don't really do any type of formal training (basically I have a heavybag and jump rope at home), but I've noticed that my left shoulder is able to "crack" (as in cracking your knuckles) on command when I rotate it in a certain way. It's only been like this for a year or so.

It doesn't really hurt but it feels a little weird when I feel my shoulder popping when I throw left hooks on the heavy bag. I do get a tiny bit of pain when the shoulder is bent back at a sharp angle (never actually happens unless I do it intentionally), otherwise it doesn't affect my everyday activities.

Is this something I should be worried about? It just feels kinda weird.

One kid at my gym dislocated his shoulder during training but he still competed in the golden gloves so you should be fine, the poping could be due to your shoulder's physiology, as long as its not obstructing you from doing what you need, no sharp pain, I'd say you are good to go:boxing:

not a problem, weird that it worries you though.
