Ricco Rodriguez has a new career waiting for him in the ring. After three straight losses, Rodriguez picked up a win in Mexico and is now awaiting an opportunity to take a meaningful fight. As a former King of the Cage, and UFC heavyweight champ, Rodriguez really has nothing else to prove, except that he can come out of a skid unaffected, and get back to winning fights.

I'm not a big Ricco fan because of his mouth, but I do respect his fighting ability, he's one of the best grapplers out there. I'd be interested in watching him fight Mir. I think he'd get his ass kicked in Pride by Cro-cop or Fedor though. I wouldn't mind seeing fight Nog again either. Funny thing about Ricco, I think he's better when he's kinda fat. He uses that extra weight really well, he just doesn't perform as well when he comes in at a trim 245.

Thats very true. When Ricco has a belly, he fights great. His cardio is better too. He looked like he had been eating nothing but doughnuts while training for Nogueira and he looked great in that fight.

if he comes back i hope he wins, cause hes such a baby when he doesn't. when i covered UFC45 at Mohegan Sun he left the ring pissy and crying. not very sportsman like. dana had a talking to him and he came back to a full house of boo's.

This man just smother the correct, Ricco style.

What did you think it was gonna look like? Ricco wasn't stupid enough to keep it standing for very long, and they are equal on the ground. If elbows were allowed in that fight though, Nogueira would of looked like he was making out with a cheese grater. Ricco would of killed him.
