Is that good for lunch? leff 02-17-2005, 04:27 PM Yeah thats good food, throw in some salad and were talking. ShotgunSeanK 02-17-2005, 04:36 PM Stuff to put in your lunchbox could include apples bananas, oranges etc, turkey/ham/lettuce sandwiches, and a protein shake. leff 02-17-2005, 04:40 PM Yeah fruit is good before training, i would save the protein shake until after training though. dodge 02-17-2005, 06:16 PM Fruit is always a good snack. Chicken breasts is high in protien. riz 02-17-2005, 06:50 PM thnx gyz i wanted to know this to wen u say chicken sandwich n stuff, does that mean jus like boiled chicken pieces, or like the patties n stuff that u can buy? spinksjinx 02-17-2005, 09:04 PM I wish I could still eat meats and vegetables...I cant even swallow chicken breast or lettuce/tomato anymore. Chicken is so damn disgusting now, their is no good way to cook it and make it flavorful and healthy at the same time. Plus eating that and salads eventually burned out my taste buds, I gagged eating a piece of lettuce the other day. God damn does it suck, Post some recipes people. :) simeraksou 02-17-2005, 10:25 PM I wish I could still eat meats and vegetables...I cant even swallow chicken breast or lettuce/tomato anymore. Its lose-lose in my case. Im going on the Jack Lalanne diet for real. :boxing: haaha leff 02-18-2005, 04:58 AM And what is the jack lananel diet??? spinksjinx 02-18-2005, 06:01 AM And what is the jack lananel diet??? Fruits/Vegetables/soups/occasionally fish. Normally I wouldnt follow a diet like that, but Jack is the man (the guy is 90 and still living strong truly amazing) Just to give myself something new and hopefully restore my taste for basic foods again. leff 02-18-2005, 06:43 AM  Your gonna box on that diet??? If it works for you than you realy are something. Hey, churchill lived to he was 90 and he smoked 15 cigars a day, ate greasy food, sleept 2-3 hours a day , didnt exercise and drank atleast 1 bottle of scothc a day. So this jack lives on it doesnt mean its a good diet. spinksjinx 02-18-2005, 06:52 AM  Your gonna box on that diet??? If it works for you than you realy are something. I've got a while before I will go back to training for a fight (I am scheduled March 26th) I will probably only do it for a week or two at the most, Plus I need to bring my weight down a bit more. I fought at 114 last weekend and have since balloned up to 125. Detox isnt something one should do, but for a week it probably wouldnt be to detrimental. Plus I will be getting the nutrients I need through supplements and Meal Replacements. Anyone got any recipes we could share? The same old hum-drum chicken breast is rather bland to eat everyday. Also keep it healthy if you do. spinksjinx 02-18-2005, 06:56 AM Also I plan on keeping my Pasta in my diet, mostly avoiding the things I hate at the moment. The pasta will keep my energy levels high and after configuring up my diet, I will be getting the same amount of calories and nutrients than before. Just in a different form. Pugnacious_Z 02-18-2005, 07:47 AM steak and pasta leff 02-18-2005, 11:43 AM steak and pasta I wouldnt eat steak before training, it lie too heavy in the belly. Wait with the steak untill after, pasta is good both before and after. delaboxeo 02-18-2005, 12:53 PM I agree -- steak and pasta are the best things that I've found. Pasta to keep your energy up and steak for protien. I also throw in a bit of fresh fruit too. spinksjinx 02-18-2005, 01:10 PM I agree -- steak and pasta are the best things that I've found. I would stay the hell away from red meat when boxing period. leff 02-18-2005, 02:29 PM Well, red meat contains vtal vitamins. Not found in chicken and fish. And you can get beef down to 5% fat. And moose is the lowest fat meat i know 2-3% ore so. I eat it and it works fine by me, so try it out and see if it works for youy. |
