View Full Version : Hopkins-Eastman Picks!
Tha Greatest 02-17-2005, 09:48 AM I cant wait till the next day and see what he's gotta say
if he loses i will laugh
if he showed respect n lost then i would show respect to
he said that Hopkins only beat up a washed up Joppy
he beat the living **** out of joppy, and eastman lost to the washed up joppy. He said the Trinidad fight was really close, u guys think the hopkins Trinidad fight was close? What the hell is wrong with this guy?
puppy_dogg 02-17-2005, 09:58 AM i could'nt believe letterman gave the 6th round to tito, bernard landed 2-1 that round but thats a different subject :p
im not that excited about him beating eastman as iam about him getting to 20 title defences. it would be awesome to see nard accomplish it
.::EnRiQuE::. 02-18-2005, 08:42 PM Who do you see winning tomorrow night....HOpkins or EAstman
.::EnRiQuE::. 02-18-2005, 09:00 PM i have eastman by ko in the 10th
itsbusdriver 02-18-2005, 09:09 PM i have BHop by UD
itsbusdriver 02-18-2005, 09:14 PM i dont know much about Eastman but I do not think he will win by KO.. BHop's chin is tucked into his chest at all times.. it would be very difficult to hurt him like that
.::EnRiQuE::. 02-19-2005, 12:25 AM well out of eastman's 40 wins 34 of the are by KO and he's a tall awkward fighter that might give b-hop sum trouble. i doubt eastman will KO hopkins, my prediction was more me hoping that b-gop loses
Lordy 02-19-2005, 02:36 AM My heart says Eastman, but my head says Hopkins. Hopkins by close points decision.
Zab Super Judah 02-19-2005, 03:42 AM eastman by UD
Marjoh 02-19-2005, 05:19 AM Hopkins was winning most, if not all, of the rounds before he dropped Trinidad. Hopkins UD.

It's like Lampley said, judges look for a reason to give Trinidad a round if he's not doing well. That's how he beat Oscar (along with Oscar not fighting the last few rounds LOL :D )
Toller 02-19-2005, 10:34 AM Hopkins by UD, but a good competitive fight
Drug Fiend 02-19-2005, 10:34 AM "I know Rahman is a good fighter because he has done something I could not:
Beat and KO Lewis in his prime."
- V.Klitschko in a recent interview about his next fight with Rahman.
haha another load of bs that v-klits drummed up cause
we all know rahman hasnt got a hope in hell.
and lewis was NOT in his prime.
he was unmotivated and undertrained.
lewis in his prime would of left vitali for dead.
like he did against better opposition.
what an assclown
Slipx 02-19-2005, 10:36 AM is this fight ppv only
MetalVomit 02-19-2005, 10:37 AM Hopkins by UD, but a good competitive fight
Hopkins by lopsided late stoppage. Usually a one sided ass beating is boring, but it's funny when it's happening to a loud mouth idiot (Vitaly/Williams). Hopkins is going to beat this man so bad, Eastman will wish he was Joppy.

wats up bro
You smart man, you know boxing unlike some people here who think eastman will win, i dont know why these retarded ass people actually think Eastman has even got a chance, Hopkins won EVERY SINGLE ROUND IN HIS FIGHT WITH TRINIDAD, trinidad knocked out a young cherifi in 4 rounds, eastman did it in 9, this guy is a bum!!
HOPKINS WILL DESTROY HIM!!

I got a question, though, If Eastman wins does he automatically becomes a future hall of famer?
xrhythmxnxbluesx 02-19-2005, 11:51 AM b hop by late ko...
england4ever 02-19-2005, 01:41 PM hopkins early ko
jpboxer3 02-19-2005, 01:43 PM B-Hop by Split or Majority Decision :D

to successfully defend your titles at 40+ is amazing.
to beat that guy while hes 40+ isnt so amazing.
although if eastman did win it would be a great win
given his own and b-hops recent form.
and when did i mention hopkins or eastman in my post?
Super_Lightweight 02-19-2005, 02:17 PM This fight I could see going either way, but officially I am going to say Hopkins by close decision, maybe a majority decision.
!! Anorak 02-19-2005, 02:28 PM Is it actually possible to have a debate about boxing around here lately without someone calling someone else a "retard" or an "ass"? Godzhand, you actually seem to have knowledge of the sport, but I wish you'd engage without the desisory stuff, you let yourself down.
Okay, I'll chill. As for Vitali talking about Rahman, what the hell do you expect him to say? "I vill still be vurld champyon, he iz rubbis, don't even bover to buy a ticket?"
dustymoo 02-19-2005, 04:24 PM I go for Hopkins by split decision. But Eastman outboxes Hopkins. With the usual biased ref's, and crooked Yank judges, Eastman will have to stop him to win. I think it would be nearly impossible for Eastman to win on points. Remember the refs treatment of Danny Williams against Tyson? Expect simalar bias again folks!
Zab Super Judah 02-19-2005, 04:36 PM Eastman By Ud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont let myself down. I use words that correctly fit the situation. You let yourself down by having blind faith in every English fighter.
!! Anorak 02-19-2005, 05:44 PM I dont let myself down. I use words that correctly fit the situation. You let yourself down by having blind faith in every English fighter.I'd just like to hear less of the smack, because unlike most of the other smack talkers, you actually have something to say.
You're right though, I should be more objective about these English fighters. I think it's easy to get taken in because, by definition, I'll have seen more of their fights than 90% of American members. How many Eastman fights have been on US TV since his "loss" to Joppy? They've all been televised over here.
I SHOULD definitely have admitted that Danny probably hadn't a hope, but had my fingers crossed. This particular one isn't like that, though - Howard can dish it and take it, so I expect Hopkins to win by UD, whether deserved or not.
FistFest 02-19-2005, 06:18 PM is this fight ppv only
excuse me...getting off topic for a second here...
Slipx, the KO in your sig is from what fight? Nice one... it's like the guy giving the hook said "Gnyt and sleep while ye fall" :D
phallus 02-19-2005, 06:21 PM Hopkins by late KO / UD...have any of u seen the commercial where Eastman says ," Bernard Hopkins, i'm coming for yoooooooooo!" **** is that ever funny
FistFest 02-19-2005, 06:22 PM I am split on this... I want Eastman to score an upset yet I am a Bhop fan.
Eastman by surprise stoppage coz I feel something tingling. Gotta trust my intuition. The air in this fight is really different. Anyway, dont mind me :D

That would certainly be one of the bigger upsets in the history of boxing...should Eastman stop Bernard somehow.
!! Anorak 02-20-2005, 12:59 PM At least it's nice to know that nearly a third of those who voted thought Howard would get KOed... so Mr. Nuff Tump demonstrated his chin last night, eh?
