View Full Version : Winning USA Difficulties
bailie 07-20-2009, 07:57 PM Has anyone ordered from Winning before and ran into some difficulties? I keep reading everywhere that they have excellent service, but I'm getting a bit worried. I ordered my gloves on Monday 7/13 and my card has yet to be charged. I emailed them on Wednesday to confirm the order and to ask for an ETA, but no response. I called them several times throughout the week and no answer. Today someone answered and they said they couldn't speak English (I'm sure it was his wife and speaks Japanese) and basically hung up.... Anyone have any similar experiences?
I'm totally willing to wait for the gloves since I've been having knuckle issues, but just hoping that I'm actually going to get sent some....

Companies usually charge the card right away, sooo maybe your order never went through.

I got a confirmation I think that is automatically generated right after I submitted my order - giving my order # and total. I emailed them a couple days later just to get an ETA since they don't post shipping when you order and never received a response. I would totally submit an order again, but I don't want to get two pair of $300 gloves.

I've sent two in the past week. I guess I just gotta wait.
Dynamite Glove 07-20-2009, 10:29 PM I'm about to order a pair of Winnings. I have some Reyes, but I want two pairs of gloves. I put some miles on my gloves...I need two pairs, they're like workboots. If you just use one pair, in six months they're trash. But if you rotate two or three pair, you're golden...I'm either getting a pair of the winnings or another reyes, I want to try the winnings though.

If you order a pair let me know how fast you get em. I'm thinking my order didn't go through or something.
Uchi Deshi 07-20-2009, 11:13 PM I've bought a bunch of stuff from Winning USA. They don't bill you until they ship it out. I had to wait on a couple of things that they didn't have in stock, but everything came through fine. I got the velcro gloves, the focus pads, the groin protector, and the FG-5000 headgear. I've never had a problem. I haven't contacted customer service, because everything arrived, and when it arrived, it was fine.
If you're having trouble with your knuckles, you're going to love the gloves. They were actually too cushy for me. I gave them to my wife, because she was having knuckle problems. I like everything else. I use the Cleto super bag gloves for bag work and on the focus pads. I have the Fairtex super sparring for sparring, but I'm thinking about getting Cletos for sparring.
Azmojo 07-20-2009, 11:28 PM I know Kazumichi, and I'm sure you'll get your order, provided the items are in stock.
The best way to contact him is via e-mail.
Sometimes things come up that slow order processing by a few days, but he'll get the items out to you.
Just try to be patient.
Matt
bailie 07-20-2009, 11:51 PM Sweet. Good to hear. I ordered the knuckle guard as well - not sure if that is over kill.
I3C727 07-20-2009, 11:57 PM yea and shipping is usually 2 days from cali to Fl. He is the only one running that branch so he sometimes gets busy.

I will sell you my winning gloves, used for sparring like 8 times for 30 below retail. i want a diff color, they are still pretty much brand new.
bailie 07-24-2009, 11:58 AM My card was finally charged! I guess that means they are being shipped out. They charged $30 shipping from CA to SEA... wonder how heavy these gloves are ;-P
bailie 07-24-2009, 09:38 PM yay!! They just came in! From Japan....
I3C727 07-24-2009, 10:37 PM that is why i always email and call to make sure they have the color and size in stock. If they dont he will tell you they have to ship it from japan, usually he will anyway. And that the fee is usually around 30 bucks.
One time he overnighted an item to me along with another item from his place in CA because i wasnt sure on the sizes and he didnt have both sizes in stock. He did not charge me shipping for either and i was only expecting the one item from his CA center but i got 2. The customer service is great and mr kazumichi is a good man.
anyway i hope you enjoy your winning gloves, what color did you get? throw up a pic if you get a chance.

bailie 07-27-2009, 05:49 PM Hey I3C727,
Do you use your winnings for the bag or just primarily for sparring?
I3C727 07-27-2009, 06:54 PM mostly just for sparring, sometimes i hit the bag with them. i know people who have had them for 2 years using them on both so its not bad to do every once in a while. be sure the bag is leather and not canvas lol. throw alittle vaseline on the connecting area if you feel paranoid.
