Isn't it customary for those "insert winners name of the fighters here" vs __________ threads after a bout has just taken place?

Great performance from Khan last night, especially after what happened a couple of fights ago.

However...the Barrera fight left a sour taste for many people, as well as the joke of having Khan fight for a title at 140lbs having fought no ranked opponents. Warren really does run the WBA and no question to me that devalues the title. I am an Amir Khan fan, but this **** annoyed the hell out of me, and evidently annoyed a lot of other people.

Well to be fair , it was a free defense of his title for Kotelnik and he thought Khan would be an easy win for him considering the Prescott fight instead of fighting Ortiz.

Yeah my mistake. My point is I like to see boxers earn title shots, and speaking as a fan of Amir I have to say that he did nothing to earn a crack at a world title. Thats boxing though I suppose.

I know, mate.

Fighting bums at lightweight, getting knocked cold once and then three fights later getting a title shot at a weight division above his own... Surely the WBA had a heap of light welters rated higher than Khan who deserved the shot more.

Khan did deserve the shot though, he proved that by beating the guy

Doesn't work like that. He didn't earn the shot to begin with.
