How many of you guys out there would date a single mother...I listen to radio personality Tom Leykis and he says.."Hell no don't date a single mother, because all they are looking for is a daddy for their kid that you didn't even have anything to do with making. They will try to impregnate themselves so you end up paying for not only your kid but that other man's kid as well" any way that is pretty much Tom Leykis's message. What are your thoughts?

I say go for it. First off single moms have to stay around their house making dinner for the kid and stuff anyway, so you don't have to spend money taking her out.

Second if you ever do take her out and get the kid a baby sitter she will definitly appreciate it, and that's good for later on.

Plus the kid right, kids that are yours suck, but when they are someone else's you can just get them to do **** like mow the lawn or take out the trash.

And if you wear a condum she can't get pregnant so your solid on all fronts. :bottle:

Yeah I saw a girl casually once that was a single mum. She was 19, fairly fit chick too and a nice girl to boot. She loved the ****. But it was more of a casual thing/friendship with benefits. It didn't last very long but that's for other reasons. I dunno if I would date one for real however. Never say never though I guess.

i've dated plenty of single mothers and most of lykis' single mom theories are bull****. most of em learned their lesson on childcare and DO NOT want another kid. they're not poking holes in condoms and all that lame **** either.

Im a single mother with 2 babies, i date and i make it VERY CLEAR, that the guy im dating will not meet my kids, he is dating me, he doesnt need to know nothing about them, he knows i have kids and he's cool with it, NOW on the other hand, if we get serious thats a different story, but im only 23 so i dont want to be serious with anyone. I would not do it! I’m stuck right now with one. She started out as a sex buddy. Then it got serious. She’s a real cool girl, nice body (24 years old). Now, two years later things have changed. We live together and that’s a nightmare! The youngest is 4 and a pain in the ass. The older one is 8 and she’s cool but still annoying. I used to like kids but after living with them for a while…. I don’t know. I want to cut her loose but I don’t want to two kids and a struggling single mom out on the street. Fellas be careful with the single moms they will do what they need to do to take care of there kids. Hey, there is nothing wrong with dating a single mother. I have learned that you just have to watch what signals you give her, and let her know what your intentions are up front. I promise if you do that, she will respect you more(as most women will). Let her know if you just want to be "casual," or you are trying to be stepdaddy. 8-out-of-10 she probably wants the same thing you want.

Never dated a single mother but I know a lot of them will do ANYTHING to make the relationship work and wont easily let you go.

It really depends on what type of woman they are. If they know what they want why not? Meaning they are looking to better themselves by going to school and getting a job and/or help raise the family. Sticking by you when things get tough. This really should apply to all women though moms/or non moms and vise versa.

I've dated a single mom before that had some terrible relationships before and it carried over to ours. That's the only thing I would watch out for is someone that is trying make you pay for what someone else did to them. Without getting too specific she had some emotional baggage that was too difficult to overcome. The thing that sucks is you and their kid/or kids might get attached to each other and they might think it's their fault your not with their mom anymore. I'm not saying it is easy but what relationship is really....

But around junior high, she started hanging out with the bad crowd and she got pregnant when she was 15. She's like 19 now and is a totally loser. Her baby daddy ran off somewhere and she leaves the baby home with her mom while she goes to clubs and get drunk with her friends.

Single Moms under 30 are a RED LIGHT! But everytime I meet a single mom at a super market who is like 30 and up and is sexy they live to ****! no lie they just wanna enjoy themselfs because they never got to be wild when they were young, they are trying to relive their youth it is trully sad but hey they are grownups and I feel sad for the kids. Rachel (the character) was a ****-sorry excuse for a mother (one thing that really stands out in that movie!) and the kid was basically raising himself (and raising her, half the time) Oh yeah, that type of "mom" would be perfect for dating cause she'd never let her child get in the way of her social life.
