Dead Snow is about a group of young people in Norway who go to a cabin where they can ski during the day and relax and have a few drinks at night.

They soon run into a man who tells them that the area was once occupied by the Nazis in WWII, and that, at the end of the war, many of them were chased out of the towns and into the wilderness, where they froze to death.

Initially it seemed as if it was going to be the kind of 'self-aware' horror that has become more common since Scream. It began with a geeky character discussing with the other various films where a group of people have gone to a cabin for a few days, only to be attacked by a serial killer or the supernatural. But that was the beginning and the end of that, and it soon just became a standard zombie movie, albeit one with elements of humour (along the same lines as Return of the Living Dead).

I guess it's fairly simple to know if you'll enjoy this: If you like the idea of Nazi zombies attacking a group of campers, then this is the film for you.

As a fan of the genre, I expect to like Dead Snow, and I wasn't dissapointed. Though they say you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, in this instance that may be the best course of action.

Dead Snow: it does exactly what it says on the tin.
