This is actually going to be an even fight, IMO. Forrest has a high tolerance for pain and punishment.

It will be interesting to see how Forrest approaches this fight. If he fights smart like he did against Page, he can win. But if he goes back to his old brawling style, he's getting finished quick.
People underestimate the guy a lot and he's very big and strong.

This could go either way. But I hope Silva wins because if he loses, a Super Fight with GSP would be pointless

Is Forrest fighting Anderson Silva or Wanderlei Silva?

Theres a world of difference between the 2.

thats a VERY foolish bet. what could forrest possibly do to beat silva? when it comes to punches, kicks, knees, elbows, grappling, ground fighting Silva destroys forrest. what in the world could/would forrest do to beat silva?

Weren't people saying the same thing before Forrest fought Shogun??

Never count anybody out... especially Forrest Griffin.

Shogun got tired after the first round. his conditioning has been terrible ever since he joined the UFC.

u will see..... forrest griffin is a bad mofo son..... anderson is good, but forrest is waaayyyy bigger than anderson, can give as well as he takes, and is an excellent grappler....... just wait and see.... i have a feeling that forrest takes it, and i trust my instincts....

Forrest is a big under dog, you can get 3/1 odds on forrest, it will be a big shock if forrest manages to win this, if anybody wants to offer 3/1 odds on forrest il bet with them, forrest is one of my fav fighters, so got to support my boy :fing02:

Height wise, relatively yes. Forrest is 6'3" Anderson is 6'2"

Frame and weight wise...Hell no.

Shogun got tired after the first round. his conditioning has been terrible ever since he joined the UFC.

He actually gassed after the second but point being, that Forrest beat the consensus #1 LHW in the world at the time and didn't crumble under the pressure of fighting him.

Anderson will be no different.

lol@Those though writing Forrest off..

Forrest is a dangerous muthafuker and will give Anderson a tuff time in there..

Silva though is one of my favs and i see him catching Forrest with something big to put him away....

Forrest will be the bigger guy, but for all his size, he lacks punching power. he also has shown he can be dropped.

i think Forrest will be to slow on the feet to challenge Anderson, and even if it goes to the ground, Anderson is a black belt

i see Anderson staying on the outside and timing forrest until he drops him and finishes him in the 2nd round. Forrest's style is predictable, and i think it will cost him against Anderson

Guys... You listen to Joe Rogan too much.

Forrest is big, but he will not be that much bigger than Anderson. Anderson does everything that forrest can do much MUCH better. Forrest's greatest asset is his heart and ability to absorb punishment.

Add to that the fact that Forrest has ZERO punching power...

I have a feeling Anderson counters him all night until he KO's him.

While I don't really like either guy because I think both are overhyped (Silva moreso), I would be delighted to see Forrest smash him.

However, I'm pretty sure this will turn into a 3 round dance-fest with AS outstriking forrest until he is hamburger helper and then Silva will finish with a Moonwalk to a UD from the judges.

Forrest will oblige Silva by walking in throwing punches. Silva will knock him out.

i would like to see forest win and i would say he has a chance to pull off the upset.

i just see silvas striking to be much better and cleaner. i think silva will out strike him and get him hurt bad in the second round and finish him with strikes. forest doesnt have the best chin as we have all seen.

Forrest is definately a technically sound dude, he wont go running in stupid like Leben or Irvin. I just dont see him winning though. Silva at 205 is even stronger than 185. Then you add that he more than likely will not be playing around with Forrest. I see Silva KOing him. I see a James Irvin happening. Something just out of the ordinary, a complete pwning for some reason. :dunno:

forrest griffin choked out a black belt in shogun.... and he took some heavy blows from rampage and reshad evans.... i think his chin has been tested many of times, so im sure he can take what silva dishes out..... i really looking foward to this fight..... and i feel that forrest will take this one
