View Full Version : How about prime Tim Sylvia vs Brock Lesnar
We want Floyd 07-14-2009, 02:27 AM Look now, I'm no fan of Tim Sylvia. But, since there aren't really any "super-heavyweights" in the UFC, I think Tim is the only one that can match up Brock size-wise.
Come to think of it, Tim had better kicks than Couture and Mir put together. Brock's striking is, in my opinion below amateur level, it simply does not exist. Tim, on the other hand, it seemed had that deceptive speed.
I think the fighter that's gonna give Brock problems is someone who is a wrestler but has to be around his size, a small wrestler just can't do the job. Or, an agile striker with power, or basically someone like Tim Sylvia.
What y'all think. How do y'all see a Prime Tim Sylvia vs Brock play out.
Lesnar is a good striker. It may not be pretty, but he's dropped everyone he's ever fought with his fists at some point.

Got those e-points homey :)
Dorian 07-14-2009, 03:01 AM Lesnar is strong and would take Sylvia down, who has zero ground game...
LESNAR wins.
StillUnknown 07-14-2009, 09:59 AM i think Lesnar has an equal reach to Sylvia despite the height difference
i think Brock's speed would give Timmay hell, and brock would finish him on the ground
Sylvia is a alot of things, but agile he is not
Uturn 07-14-2009, 10:34 AM Brock would take slyvia down easily and pound his face in like he did to Mir. Someone with a good ground game and good take down defense skills would give Brock trouble.
ABOSWORTH 07-14-2009, 11:06 AM Isn't the term "prime Tim Sylvia an oxymoron?
A prime Tim "The Sack-O-****" Silvia would be destroyed by Brock. The only reason he had any success in MMA is because he is tall and and has a long reach. This would all be negated against the Blonde Diesel Hedgehog when he goes in and football tackles Sack-O-**** and pounds him into Bolivian. (I know it's really oblivion, it's a Mike Tyson joke.)
snakerattle79 07-14-2009, 12:38 PM Sylvia has good TD defense so He can always Outsrike Brock on the feet

Didn't look like he did against Randy. And with the extra power, athleticism and shoot that Brock has I don't see him stuffing anything.

Exactly what I was thinking. Randy flopped sack-o-**** 'round the ring like a rag doll. Lesnar would do it worse.

not comparable. Lesnar by death round 1.
I was never a fan of sylvia's even when he was champion. I didn't ever see what his talent was. even when sylvia won, he was very unimpressive like agaisnt brandon vera. striking was the best part of his game but he wasn't even a good striker. Sylvia just got lucky when he won the title.
Got those e-points homey :)
Sent em pal.
