Ade is an average to good striker who misses sitters and scores the odd classy goal, oh yeah in his own head he is better than Torres and Villa

Id expect more than 20 mil for him, not because he is worth that but Barca was talking about paying 25, so i feel let down that we aint took money bags City to the cleaners on the price.

Im glad he had left.

Don't rate Adebayor much.

Man City have got to play three upfront next year.

robinho Adebayor tevez.

Pretty good frontline. Better than Man Utd by a country mile.

Its true....................IF Owen DOES get injured they are knackered.

Berba/Rooney wont fire them to a Premier League title.

Man United say their spending is done, well if that is the case they are weaker this year than last imo.

The older players are a year older and they just lost a player who virtually guarantees at LEAST 15 goals + a season.

Well we know Rooney cant play as a lone striker, so it would be whether Berba could hold the ball up.

This is a scenario where Owen gets injured of coarse.

Well if Arsenal's defence has not improved its concievable that they will be behind Pool,Chelsea and United again but im not sure they will be overtaken by City, they (City) have a lot of new players that will take time to bed in and start playing as a team.

Its easy to forget that not so long ago Arsenal were top of the league for a long period of time with not so much of a different squad/team that what they have now, and with Walcott,Rosicky,Eduardo injury free im not apprehensive about finishing 5th.

Ade wont be a miss because he was not that good in any way, he contrived to miss golden chances more than he put them away.

This is a good signing, Adebayor brings goals, more than what Tevez can do.

I love how everyone is doubting Utd. They have arguably the best defence in England and Europe, a quality midfield and good strikers. I've said it before Tevez can Easily be replaced if they wanted to, Ronaldo too can be replaced but not easily. Utd are short of one quality Striker and I expect them to win it again.

Chunk

Chelsea have the best squad as of right now.

Ronaldo and Tevez will leave a black hole in that team that will take more then Owen and Valencia to fix.

Liverpool are likely to lose players without being able to replace them.

Arsenal are done.

Man City have as good as chance as any with the squad they are building.

I think it's way too soon for City to be talking about winning titles. Let's get in the top four and pick up silverware elsewhere eh?

City need to work on the defense, a couple of solid and experienced defenders, in particular a right-back but also a centre half will work wonders.

siablo14
07-14-2009, 10:07 PM
Wenger should also follow Adebayor and go too, Van Persie and Walcott have signed long term contracts so I will prefer to try and build with them, and this damn method that Wenger is trying to use by growing young players into stars aint working because as soon as they get a good offer they leave the Arsenal, so WENGER MUST GO.

Adebayor is a strong fast target man who can hold up the ball, Tevez is a second striker who picks up loose balls and is more creative.

I lolled today. I was walking through Picadilly gardens (pictured below) and there were a bunch of African guys having a kick about, and low and behold, Adebayor was in the mix with them. I did think it was odd at first, they were doing a proper training drill in the middle of Manchester. I don't think any of the others were City players, probably just his mates.

No, the tour started last wednesday. Tevez went, Adebayor had his medical on Wednesday night but the deal wasn't done until Sunday.
