View Full Version : Hendo vs GSP (185)Evans (205) anybody ?....Let's Get It !!!
Still Pimpin 07-13-2009, 02:56 AM What's next for Hendo ?
I see nothing at 185 for him (up or down). As a competitor he deserves Anderson but uuuhmmm........no !!!
Not that he CAN"T beat him I just don't see it as a necessary match.
Hendo/Gsp however $$$$$ a fight that needs to happen !!!!!
If Hendo goes up to 205 EVANS would be good although EVANS has more Explosive problems on his hands right now.
There will be no loser in EVANS vs PAGE. Rank will stay the same because both fighters will only be more DANGEROUS / MORE RESPECTED then they are now and PAGE is already a legend at 205 (in my book).Look up the people that guy fought !!!
Page / Hendo was a great fight but I don't need to see that again with all the other options at 205.
HENDO would **** on JARDINE and JON JONES is too young in the game.
Thiago Silva, Brandon Vera vs Hendo ?
HENDERSON has had it rough in The UFC fist PAGE / then ANDERSON / then FRANKLIN !!!!!!!! that's why that guys a legend.
How come The UFC doesn't put together fights like this for Title Holders ? $$$
Almost seems like they were trying to flush Hendo out the game or KILL him lol !!!
You youngins will learn !!!!!!
F l i c k e r 07-13-2009, 03:13 AM Why do you want to see GSP get raped? There is no way in hell GSP will out-wrestle Dan Henderson. **** the accolades, we are talkin about a guy who is probably weighs more than 200lbs come fight night. Henderson would own GSP, hands down. You can argue stand up all you want but face it, GSP is a LnP artist now. He will shoot in on Henderson and get owned. Dont tell me he wont shoot in on him either because GSP WILL.
Henderson vs Rashad is okay but Henderson's chin is granite. He isn't getting KO'd by Rashad. He took Wandy's best shot and nothing, he took Rampage's best shot and nothing, he took Vitor's best shot and nothing. Henderson would win this fight but by decision. Rashad isn't stationary and he apparently forgot how to wrestle.
At 185 Henderson still has Silva and Okami. The number 1 and number 2 MW's in the world by many sources(some of which I dont like; sherdog). He needs to look like this again....

Still Pimpin 07-13-2009, 03:27 AM I think GSP has a better chance against Hendo than he does against The Spider. I think GSP needs to test the waters at 185 not for good just for legacy and entertainment purposes.
GSP is the best .....next to A.Silva and he wants the fight (so he says). This is only an option if GSP test the waters with Hendo or Franklin at 185. If GSP goes chasing a Spider he may die in that web. Andy might kill all his confidence lol !!!
GSP is far better than anyone at 170 right now, you don't want him staying at 185 so give him a good name like Hendo and it would be good for Dan too !!!
Hendo or Franlklin can put GSP in his place at 170....The KING @170
I suspect BJ's has such a large following because of his daring to take risky fights with a TOP RANKED HUGHES, GSP, & MACHIDA (205) while shining at 155. GSP can afford a loss @ MW to a great like Hendo it will be considered a win in the long run.
You would buy it !!!
Airforce1234 07-13-2009, 03:30 AM gsp vs a.silva for the p4p title is whats gunna happen.
Still Pimpin 07-13-2009, 03:35 AM Okami doesn't excite me. If this fight happen it's Hendo by Ko or a long dry humping session. Dan will get no props for Okami.
Okami's too strong to be man handled and he can take a beating while he's not as vicious as Dan.

Hendo and Franklin are not going to fight 170... ever.
BJ has a big following because retards feed into his bull**** of being a prodigy. He is great at BJJ tournaments but in the cage he is just an over-aggressive fat-ass hawaiian. Eating big Kahuna burgers and **** before big fights.

Hendo-Okami would be a dry humping session. Okami isn't going to get caught like Bisping and Hendo isn't going to get caught like Tanner(r.i.p).
Still want to see Okami get the title shot he deserves. A few more seconds and he would have had Franklin tapping.
Don Corleone 07-13-2009, 10:03 AM You can argue stand up all you want but face it, GSP is a LnP artist now. He will shoot in on Henderson and get owned. Dont tell me he wont shoot in on him either because GSP WILL.
You're an idiot if you honestly believe that. There's no other way of putting it. I had to shut you up once when you tried to overstate Silva's wins and understate GSP's and I exposed your lack of knowledge of their level of competition. You have absolutely no respect for GSP as a fighter. How is GSP a lay n pray artist now? You have no idea what that term means or else you wouldn't be using it falsely and inaccurately. Once you yourself have shown that you can define the term, then we can continue to argue why GSP isn't a lay n pray "artist" like you claim.
fallenloki 07-13-2009, 12:19 PM Wow... TS. You really don't know ****.
Dan Henderson has fought almost all of his career at around 185. The fights above that weight seemed more like personal challenges once it was clear that he was the best in Pride at 185. He will not ever fight at 170. The only way he gets a crack at GSP is if GSP chooses to move up to 185. If GSP fought Henderson, I think GSP would get man-handled by Henderson's wrestling. It would be boring but Henderson would be able to win.
At 185, Dan still has a lot of work to do. He's only had 3 or 4 fights in the UFC's division but he's already earned a rematch with Anderson. It's definitely the only fight I want to see with Anderson at 185 after Yushin Okami

**** you Don. I thought you were a cool guy that new his **** but obviously I was wrong.
I wasn't downplaying ****. I was stating the DIVERSITY of their resumes you dumb dick. GSP is great but his resume is just about ALL WRESTLERS. While Anderson's has a diverse set of people on his resume. If you argue that then your dumb as **** and have no business watching MMA.
You apparently dont know what LnP is. GSP used to be diverse but he focuses on wrestling now. LnP is when you shoot in and stay on the guy all night. When your gameplan is to take him down and lay on him. Just because he throws a couple of elbows and knees dont mean ****. Sean Sherk does the same **** and it's LnP. Matt Hughes does the same **** and it's LnP. How is it any different when GSP does it? Alves scrambled back to his feet and instead of regroup. GSP attached himself to his ass. What is that? Lay and Pray, you sizzle dick mutha****a.
Josh Koscheck used to be a LnP artist but ever since the GSP loss he became diverse. Mixing it up, not comming in with the gameplan as shoot for a takedown and grind it out.
Don Corleone 07-13-2009, 12:47 PM **** you Don. I thought you were a cool guy that new his **** but obviously I was wrong.
Anyone who disagrees with what you say doesn't "know his ****"? Who the F are you anyway?

No, you were downplaying every single one of his opponents by either saying they were wrestlers (Hughes, Koscheck etc), either saying they were fat and out of prime (Penn) or you said they had no specialty (Fitch). You my friend, are a dumbass. Silva is one of my favourites but you took it too far when you were overstating wins like the ones against Leben. You were giving the idea that beating Leben (who you mentioned was a "HUGE" puncher with a steel chin) was an accomplishment but beating Koscheck and Fitch is "no specialty". You know fuc* all about MMA but. Keep studying homie. The insults don't do anything except show how emotional you get when someone disagrees with you.

LnP is when you lay on top of an opponent without striking or submitting them or trying to improve your position at all, only to get a decision win. But that's not what GSP was doing. He went for two rear naked choke attempts and nearly got it. He was continually beating Alvez in the ground striking and continually tried to improve his posiiton. When it came time to stand up, GSP even knocked Alvez down with a brutal punch. All one has to do is to look at Alvez's face to know that what you're claiming is absolute rubbish. Had you not hated on GSP when comparing his competition to Silva even before the Alvez fight, maybe I would take your claim a little more seriously but it's obvious you really don't like GSP at all and have no respect for his MMA strategies and game plan or his level of competition. You have too much of a bias against him for anyone to take your garbage seriously.
Josh Koscheck used to be a LnP artist but ever since the GSP loss he became diverse. Mixing it up, not comming in with the gameplan as shoot for a takedown and grind it out.
So you're suggesting GSP never take down his opponent? It's part of his game plan and his superb wrestling skills. It's not as if GSP didn't strike at all. He used a smart strategy of dominating his opponent by using take downs, submission attempts and even knock downs when it came time to stand up and strike. He tried to take Alvez away from his own game plan while receiving the least amount of damage.
If it was too boring for you and you dislike ground fighting, then what on earth are you doing watching MMA to begin with? You're probably one of those fans that doesn't settle with anything less of a 10 second quick KO.
F l i c k e r 07-13-2009, 05:07 PM Anyone who disagrees with what you say doesn't "know his ****"? Who the F are you anyway?
No I dont. I only said that to you. Because somehow you read **** and completely miss the point, making your own meaning of the words typed.

never downplayed any of them. I was stating DIVERSITY. do you know what the **** DIVERSITY is? Apparently you dont because you still continue to talk about downplaying them when I was stating diversity.
And Fitch has no specialty. A jack of all trades has none. He is good at everything but not great at anything. NO SPECIALTY. Shows how much you know.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Your the one who just became a GSP fan. Acting like the ****er has been pre-dominant wrestler his whole career.

Where the **** are you getting this frome? See, this right here proves my afformentioned statement.
If it was too boring for you and you dislike ground fighting, then what on earth are you doing watching MMA to begin with? You're probably one of those fans that doesn't settle with anything less of a 10 second quick KO.
It's boring. From a fan stand point it is boring as ****. I didn't even like it when Kos was doing it. So, yeah it's boring from a fan stand point. From a competitor's stand point, it is a smart move. He obviously bests everyone in the WW division at wrestling, so why not use it? It's a smart move but it is still boring.
I just tell it like it is. I appreciate GSP and he is my fav WW but if what he does is boring then that's what it is. Im not gonna dress it up like it's some fancy ****, like your doing. I tell it like it is. I appreciate Sherk-Florian and that was a dry humping fest. It doesn't mean I hate the guy or think he sucks. The wrestling from get go to finish is boring. Hell even when Okami does it, it's boring.
It's boring but I still find time to watch all 25 minutes of wrestlemania. Why? Because I am still a fan of GSP, regardless.
Hell, I'm a Floyd fan too but I admitt he pot shots and avoids most of the fight. I just tell it like it is. I dont hide it behind smoke and mirrors.

First off, here's the post.
http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5617171&postcount=39
In it, you talk about Serra being a midget (beating Serra wasn't the best accomplishment but downplaying him as a midget was unnecessary). You mention GSP beating Koscheck and Hughes as if the accomplishments didn't mean much (not to mention he beat an NCAA Division I champion when he beat Koscheck but you probably didn't know that), and you mentioned the Penn win by stating that Penn was "fat and out of his prime". How on earth are you not going to tell me that you were understating his opponents?
And Fitch has no specialty. A jack of all trades has none. He is good at everything but not great at anything. NO SPECIALTY. Shows how much you know.
Stating that GSP's win over Fitch was no specialty means you honestly do not follow Fitch. Just cause you don't know Fitch well and don't know of all his accomplishments doesn't mean others don't. No one had ever passed Jon Fitch's guard until GSP which was a huge accomplishment considering Fitch is a known black belt in guerrilla jiu-jitsu. And up until the GSP fight, Fitch had an eight fight win streak in the UFC (tied for second best). He's easily top 3 P4P welterweights in MMA. If you honestly don't even acknowledge that than I don't know what you're watching.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Your the one who just became a GSP fan. Acting like the ****er has been pre-dominant wrestler his whole career.
I didn't just become a GSP fan. Ever since I've watched the guy I've always been a fan. You wouldn't know cause you don't know me so it's stupid to be second-guessing.
It's boring. From a fan stand point it is boring as ****. I didn't even like it when Kos was doing it. So, yeah it's boring from a fan stand point. Who says he just wrestled Alvez and lay n pray'd him to vicyory? You do. You're reaching conclusions based off of your own bias.
GSP didn't just wrestle Alvez and stay on top of him (which is what lay n pray is cause obviously you didn't know). He was dominating the ground game with punches and submission attempts, he was out-wrestling him and he was out-striking Alvez and knocked him down too. One look at Alvez's face proves this. But you're not going to even acknowledge that.
rezin 07-13-2009, 09:40 PM gsp vs a.silva for the p4p title is whats gunna happen.
that would be dope

I wasn't saying Dan would move to 170 I was saying if GSP decides to move up to 185 he'd have a better chance against Dan. No need to spaz out over the ****.
You seem like the type to turn MMA talk into a physical fight. Don't be so emo !!!
And BJ has displayed heart that many figters haven't shown yet. Moving up in weight and really putting your ass on the line is the honorable thing to do for a fighter who wants to prove something.
Say what you like about BJ, but there was a time he was the ****. Maybe he just doesn't care enough to train like a champ.
