The ref should have stopped the fight right after the punch, Bisping could have been hardly injured if Henderson would have been hitting him flush.

Henderson admitted that he knew Bisping was knocked out, and while he would have normally stopped against other fighters, he wanted to hit Bisping while he was out cold.

This the UFC and not boxing, but I can't help but lose respect for Henderson after admitting that.

Well, I don't really care, Bisping was such a douchebag with him, never showed him respect and anything. He deserved that beating, also, he came in the ring by saying ''It will be a walk in the parK'' And he kept backing up and fearing Henderson.

Hitting a man when you 'KNOW' he is ko'd is worse than a bit of smack talk before a fight.

Henderson is the better fighter, but that still doesn't change the fact that he is a c**k. Sore winner indeed.

If anything Bisping was lucky Henderson didn't have a brain like Gomi or KID. The ref wouldn't have been able to get Henderson off of Bisping.

the ref was behind dan.

of course dan is gonna get there before him.

plus a fighter rushes in automatically when he knocks a guy down......a ref has to wait and decide if he should stop it first.

the ref was on point and got there as soon as he possibly could.

I don't watch much MMA, but I've seen stuff like that happen several times before. It's just the way the sport is. You take your chances when they come, you can't afford to hesitate or else it might be you getting knocked out a minute later. What was he supposed to do, stop and ask him if he was OK to continue?

If Dan knew that he was out and still hit him again, then I disagree with that, but on the other hand...it's a fight, and what he did was within the rules. I doubt he even had time to think about whether Bisping was KO'd or not, it all happened quickly.

when you knock a guy down , first instinct is too get on top of him and hit him as soon as possible.

If it had been someone like Babalu who landed the last shot everyone would have been calling it a cheap shot. Because it was the All American Hero Dan Henderson people dont seem to mind.

Bisping was classless and disrespectful with his trash talk before the fight and deserved to go to sleep, but the 2nd shot was uncalled for. Finnishing the fight is one thing but trying to take someones head off when you know they are already out is another.

Lesnar was also unsportsman like after his win over Mir.

This has nothing to do with nationality. Henderson nearly did the same thing to Silva who is a fan favorite to everyone and still didn't get criticized afterwards. There are no cheap shots when the ref didn't jump in to stop him. Bisping has been making "cheap shots" since TUF, so the outcome was well deserved.

lay and pray was done by wrestlers.

the strikers preferred to stand up and punch and kick.

the jiu-jitsu guys wanted to roll on the ground and get submissions.

the wrestlers couldn't do either so they took the fight down to the mat like the bjj guys but instead of going for submissions , which they didn't know how to do , they would just lay there.

they didn't want to get too active with the bjj guys on the ground out of fear of getting submitted so they pretty much just held them down.

lay and pray is what ken shamrock did in the gracie rematch where he did nothing and just hoped to get a draw.

Gracie was a a smart man, he used BJJ in MMA when it was a brand new art against opponents that have never seen or heard of it before. It's a bit pitiful to be honest.

what submission?

he didn't even do one. he was going for one and the chicken **** boxer tapped before he could even do it. lol

you don't know what lay and pray means.

lay and pray is just to lay on top of someone in the hopes of a decision.

mounting someone to get a submission is not lay and pray.

He was on top of that boxer doing nothing for ten minutes. Don't make excuses for that lay and prayer. Gracie didn't attempt one submission.

brand new art?

brazilian jiu-jitsu has been around for 100 years almost.

other martial arts knew about bjj but they never learned it.

a few of those guys that he fought in the ufc , fought royce gracie before the ufc even began.

jason delucia and kimo challenged royce gracie before. they even trained on how to defend it.

brazilian jiu-jitsu showed everyone the importance of ground fighting.

that's why afterwards kosen judo re-emerged in japan.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu is really a Japanese art form.

it's based on kosen judo.

kosen judo died out in japan.

the brazilians was taught it by a japanese judoka and they improved on it.

the only reason they called it jiu-jitsu is because at the time distinction between judo and jiu-jitsu was not yet clear.

the gracies and other bjj guys added a lot to it though.
