Brock was just to big and powerful for Mir. He took one hell of a beating in there to be honest, their was nothing he could do about it once on the ground. Your thoughts?

UFC sucks and this showed why.

He just bullied Frank with his size layed on top of him and that's it.

Brock Lesnar's skills = 0

Lesnar is too big for that division however someone will get him.

It's kinda **** how all Brock has to do is get on top of his opponent and it's pretty much over from there on.

Easier said then done... and someone as "skillful" as mir should find a way to deal with someone like brock... that was a great win for him and he deserves to be the UFC champion whether anyone likes it or not. He did not just wake up one day and become as big and powerful as he is. It took years and years of hard work and you have to respect him for that. And i know people will say that he takes steroids and pro hormones or whatever but lets not forget he takes drug tests before every fight.

And all throughout his NCAA career. He said he's taken over 60 in his life time, never tested positive for anything other than meat and potatoes. But regardless, the hate runs deep.

Brock might not not be good in submissions and might get caught once in a while...... but he showed clearly that being BIG, STRONG and having GOOD TAKEDOWN skills is enough to dominate. Somewhat like Bobby lashly, big strong wrestlers......damn it......
I got to go pump some weights now!!!!

He did mess him up. Good for him.

But i don't know, i just can't bring myself to like him. Maybe it's because he was a pro wrestler, maybe it's because the fights he won and the fights he will win in the future will all be because he's bigger and physically stronger than his opponents.

His style will never appeal to me.

His comments on mazagatti during the countdown put me in stitches.

I don't think it's too terrible or completely true that Brock is winning on size alone

keep in mind he was bigger than Mir the first fight and lost that fight

size isn't everything in MMA (ask Tim Sylvia)

and Lesnar should lose eventually

but it's been a fun run and I wouldn't mind it lasting 3-4 more fights.

It's a reminder that MMA has rules though. The harsh reality is that under these rules, bigger stronger men will still have the upper hand, despite the skill the smaller men may have. That's not to say that it happens all of the time, but it's happening with Lesnar.

Lesnar is a NCAA champion wrestler, he's not some unskilled gorilla in there. A guy his size with the freakish quickness on his feet along with his Wrestling skills and you got yourself a big problem. That aside I think he is a real bore to watch...

it's not just the size of Lesnar, he does have technique behind him, and is getting the take downs for a reason.

sure it's happening with Lesnar right now .. but how long? He's only won 3 fights in the UFC, and with the UFC's recent tenancy to not have dominant belt holders (minus Anderson Silva)

I really don't see Brock holding on to the title longer then 4 fights.

as the LHW division for example has been a revolving door almost in regards to it's recent Belt Holders (Rampage had 1 successful title defense before losing to Forrest who lost in 1st title defense to Rashad who lost to Lyoto in his first defense of the title.)

granted that's a division lower then HW, but with the level of competition Brock is potentially up against (the Carwin-Velazquez winner or even Fedor)

I don't expect him to hold on, terribly long.

If Fedor doesn't sign with the UFC, Lesnar is not losing to any current UFC HW's for the foreseeable future. That's all there is to it.

Carwin and Cain are both going to get dominated by Lesnar because they are lesser versions of Lesnar. Cain has no power in his hands whatsoever and Carwin would need a Hail Mary KO punch to beat Lesnar. Otherwise, both those fights look exactly like the Mir fight.

well outside of Carwin, Cain, Kongo, Couture, Nog and Mir .. can't really think of too many other top HW's that the UFC does have (do you like Dos Santos chances?)

Carwin-Cain is happening and that looks to potentially put the winner vs Brock

and regarding Couture-Nog .. I could see the winner fighting Mir .... and the winner of that bout maybe getting a title shot

and Lesnar's already beaten Mir and Couture

but what about Dos Santos?

i would like to see Roger Gracie sign with the UFC after a couple bouts in Strikeforce, give him a couple fights with say Gonzaga,Kongo and give him Brock Lesnar that would be a fight to see once it hits the matt.
