I don't get the ****ing BJ Penn ball-tonguing in MMA. Why the **** does that guy have such a huge following? I mean, I get it, the guy has some major talent... but he's never really applied himself. He's lost almost every one of the biggest fights he's been in. What's the big ****ing deal? What the **** does talent matter if he can't apply it?

It's nothing to do with his BJJ competitions it's because within his first 3 pro-fights in MMA he beat the number 2 and number 3 LW in the world both one after the other. Then took the number 1 LW in the world 5 rounds. Then after it was established that Gomi and him were vying for number 1 status in the LW division BJ fought him and beat him establishing himself as the best 155lb'er in the world. Then in his next fight he moves up to 170 and defeats Matt Hughes within a round for the 170lb belt. Although this may not mean much now back then it was huge news because Matt not only was the best 170lb'er on the planet but he was considered P4P the best fight in the world and knowone ever thought he would be beaten again at 170 and certainly not by a 155lb'er.

He went on his little tour of the upper weight classes for whatever reason before coming back to 155. Now with this recent loss at 170 to GSP he should finally realise that 155 is his weight class to rule and establish a legacy. I truly believe he is made for 155. He performs best there, his skills translate there perfectly as well as his physical strength and his striking power which is crushing at that weight. It's a natural weight for him to be at. I don't see KenFlo beating him. People put too much emphasis on the GSP fight and think that has some bearing on BJ's career at 155. Fact is GSP is a naturally bigger person than anyone at 155 and he's head and shoulder's above anyone at the weight class for skill as well.
