The Mouse 02-02-2005, 12:47 PM I was notified today that we have to record all of our files in our office, and then send the record sheets downtown to store and collect dust. We have boxes of files, cabinets full of files, not to mention a plethora of digital files on our hard drives. Each one needs to be recorded by hand with a title, description, location, type, methodology type, dates, status, condition, etc. ... each, individual, one. “Why?” I asked. “Because the Board thought that this would help them keep track of every agency’s files within the County.” ... I’m going to lose my mind and I haven’t even started with my own files. Gotta love the hierarchy of corporate Los Angeles. I think to make this justified, we should make the Board sit down and read each one of these from all of the agencies within the county; there’s billions of files that they’re requesting and I know damn well that they’re not going to read or analyze them...yet I have to record them so that the beetles in some storage unit downtown have a nice clean stack of papers to sleep on. Hail to the Board, and the beetles that control them!
Purity 02-02-2005, 01:06 PM so your boss's bosses are just a bunch of beetles?? squash em. problem solved.
nance 02-02-2005, 01:07 PM Board members are good at saying, but they don't always know what's truly involved.
The Mouse 02-02-2005, 01:07 PM Talking about the Board of Supervisors that control every county-run office.
The Mouse 02-02-2005, 01:10 PM I'd scrape out the beatles belly's like an artichoke dipped in butter.. but I can't touch them because the Board is between me and them, my boss is between me and the Board, and these files are between me and my Boss. Hence in order for me to get a little belly-scraping dipped in butter, I need to catalogue every single file.
AgonYx0 02-02-2005, 01:13 PM Where do u work Matt? i mean doing what?
nance 02-02-2005, 01:14 PM He works on the beetle farm.
AgonYx0 02-02-2005, 01:14 PM hahaha uh ok
The Mouse 02-02-2005, 01:17 PM I work for a major law firm for the county. I don't trust any of you well enough to give you the name of it.
AgonYx0 02-02-2005, 01:19 PM well i didnt ask all that i just asked whta u do.
The Mouse 02-02-2005, 01:25 PM I generate their annual reports, organize and manipulate all of our numbers and data, create all data and presentations that gets released into the media regarding our cases and statistics, basically I'm the data guy.
AgonYx0 02-02-2005, 01:26 PM good ****
The Mouse 02-02-2005, 01:30 PM It sounds good doesn't it? It's stable, respectable, pays good... but my heart is in studying religion and theology.. not statistics, office drama, and the day-in-day-out repetition.. I'm ready to move on. I'll be here max another year and a half. But until then, I need to catalogue files... beatles beatles beatles!!!!
Tha Playa 02-02-2005, 02:25 PM Hmmmm, Matt scraping beatle bellies? That alter ego might be making a re-appearance.
The Mouse 02-02-2005, 02:40 PM No. I can still be a theology student and eat rare foods. Beetles are actually considered a delicacy in some middle-east countries. What they do is they cook them much like we cook crabs and lobsters; then grabbing the head, you turn the beetle over and scrape out it’s belly with your teeth – much like we do with artichoke leaves.
The Mouse 02-02-2005, 02:55 PM Don't get so grossed out, many foods we eat have insects or insect parts in them, that we don't see. (http://www.uky.edu/Agriculture/Entomology/ythfacts/bugfood/bugfood2.htm)
Tha Playa 02-02-2005, 02:57 PM No, you were using the beetles as a way to describe your board of supervisors. they were the people whose bellies you wanted to scrape out like an artichoke dipped in butter. MOUSE! We hear you in there somewhere! COME OUT!!!!!!
AgonYx0 02-02-2005, 03:02 PM :damnit1: :why:
Tha Playa 02-02-2005, 03:04 PM MOUSE! We hear you in there somewhere! COME OUT!!!!!!

The Mouse 02-02-2005, 03:47 PM So are you saying that there is a demon in me right now, or that there was a demon in me of which I don’t have anymore that you want to come back in? Seeing as how a spirit takes many forms, isn’t it safe to say that I am the same person, same spirit, but I just simply shifted to a different expression of myself?
Tha Playa 02-02-2005, 04:00 PM I'd say one or the other. I don't know you well enough to know the true you. But you certainly seem to have two opposite forces tearing at your insides. But IMO, the old Matt that talked about raping kids and pounding brains in was much more entertaining, if nothing more than the shock value.
The Mouse 02-02-2005, 04:19 PM The shock value is over-rated and gets old fast... now I'm just freaking people out by being myeslf, lol.
Tha Playa 02-02-2005, 04:29 PM You can only shock so long before everyone gets used to it, correct. But I live in the bible thumping southeasten united states my friend. Everyday we hear the world is ending and every day a new anti-christ pops up, so I've been numb to the freakish religion type.
The Mouse 02-02-2005, 04:48 PM I'm sorry if you don't find me shocking, get over it. As I've said, all I'm doing now is striving to be myself; not to please you.
Tha Playa 02-02-2005, 04:59 PM When did I ask you to please me? If anyone needs to get voer themselves, it's you my friend.
The Mouse 02-02-2005, 05:04 PM I'm way over and under, "friend."
Tha Playa 02-02-2005, 05:07 PM Ummmm, ok friend.
Leather 02-02-2005, 05:10 PM Are we friends? All are friends...
