I play the open sparring and stay on your feet, the rest I simulate I suck at them and usually get the bum status for them, so I take half of the full amount you can get with simulate.

Simulate is just so much easier.. Some of the training routines when you first start legacymode with a slow fighter is just plain boring...

At first its ok, but after you have about 25-30 + fights you'll see your opponents have better stats than you and depending on the difficulty you are playing It will be hard to win.

I simulate the heavy bag combos and heavybag push.

the rest i'm pretty good at, i think.

I have to auto-train on Heavy Bag Push (****'s ****ing impossible) and Double End Bag (can get Contender at best)

Sparring is a gamble as sometimes they stick you in there with someone great who'll kick the ****e out of me, and sometimes it's some bum who I can make easy work of

I simulate. Taining is no fun.

I simulate. Taining is no fun.

but does it help your boxer to simulate?

Maize bag is so easy when you discover you can move across like 5 times everytime it passes, just throw a body shot in the direction you're leaning

I simulate the bag push, and double ended bag.

Put speed and power on max and most of them are very very easy, even when starting out. Then change back the settings once your done. This is what I did and I can get champ on everyone bar the combo one because the stick goes crazy mid way through and throws random punches

I train.....And I actually just got the game a few days ago. I love it...it's very realistic and better than the previous versions IMO.

I play the games. If you practice them a a little and mess with the sliders you can get pretty good at them and it'll help out a lot once you crack the the top 20.
