What did you think of the 2nd show? I thought the challenges were weak. Why not have them race up a mountain on something to do with training? They were trying to see who could work as a team but the last time I checked MMA wasn't a team sport. Next week should be better with an elimination match. I really hope that they're just using the first few shows to get non MMA fans hooked. I really thought that this show could be used to educate people on the sport, not just show guys drinking and arguing. I understand that they're showing the guy's personalities so people have someone to cheer and boo but lets show that in training too. Not just 2 minutes of clips showing guys lifting weights and hitting a speed bag.

To my understanding, that was the last of those challenges. from now on its "fight to stay", so to speak.

I find it interesting also that Leben pretty blatantly broke the rules of the show that they spoke of, and was a complete dick yet again, but didn't get penalized for it. He's lucky he's so good otherwise he's be history. Doesn't he normally train with cotoure? I thought i read that somewhere... possibly some "special" treatment goin on

I rag on the show but I really hope it works out as far as educating fans.
It really doesn't help when most people think grappling looks gay and they show guys running around in a speedo acting like that.

My experience with fighters has been that a lot of us act stupid when we get together. Most of us are very confident and testosterone driven so pinching a guy's ass when he bends over or trying to be the last man standing at the bar is really common. It just looks bad on TV. Most of us who train spend more time with our legs wrapped around a guy than our wives/girlfriends so there's not a lot of homophobes but when you're trying to sell the sport to Joe six-pack at home who thinks BJJ looks like two guys screwing, the stuff at the house doesn't help change his mind.

I think the right people were cut. The show is called TUF not Mr. Congeniality.

i agree with what you are saying, but if there's no consequence for breaking rules, why have them in place to begin with?
