freestyle to me just means your own style made up of whatever you know, not training in anything "specific". I'm sure others have their own definition of freestyle in that respect, but that's how i see it.

There is no such thing as "free style" boxing, now there are certian fighter who fight in unorthodox styles and can get away with it because they are freak athletes.

Examples: Ali, Hamed, Roy Jones.

Even though these guys fought in different styles it all pretty much comes back to the basics. They may look like therre just winging it, but make no mistake guys like Ali and Jones had everything planned out.
