count how many cars you see with faded American flag bumper stickers. i saw 6 this morning. can we possibly be any more disgraceful? custom stickers that say: "We Only Bought This Sticker Cause It Was Trendy At The Time" need to be made and stuck next to them.

the most pure and raw way to site human stupidity at its finest is always going to be found on the roads.

Coming from a guy who drives a German car

i bought it from an American dealership and American employees got paid American $$$, in which they distributed into the American economy. this whole "buy American" **** is overated well beyond stupidity. we are people in a free society so of course we're gonna get what we wanna get. our country was founded on capitalism and free will so i find myself rather patriotic for upholding its values. not to mention, i'm half German and half American Indian. what a perfect combo.

now **** off.

Nice try..... really but I wouldn't give that speech to the guys who just got laid off from the Ford plant here.

I don't care if someone drives a honda or a Le Car but don't preach about someone's patriotism and their cars when you're driving a foreign vehicle.

In Spain was a trend to put this **** in the car like a nationalist symbol:

and, in Cataluņa (Catalonia) where I live, some people has this catalonian symbol in their cars to fight agains the "spanish bull":

they got laid off because ford's a ****ty car manufacturer with a board of directors that wants to make sure it's stockholders don't finally gain wind of it. every company has layoffs. tough ****in ****. if you wanna be competetive then you do better than what your competitors do. but to try knockin a consumer who's gonna buy quality over **** is just plain stupid. when i want to hull a ton of dirtbikes then mad props to the chevy silverado that i'll be gettin. until then, my dollar towards zeh gel-mans!

and i have yet to see how my car purchase shows any disgrace to my country. as mentioned, it's a false and egotistical illusion to actually be convinced that your one car purchase is going towards the goodwill of bolstering your preferred economy. stupid! not to mention the 1,000s of items that are in your own household that were manufactured outside this country.

you know what? i was gonna go get a 12er of bud light. now i'm gettin heinken. BOOM!!!

How can buying something made in your economic region NOT going to help that economy? You're helping pay someone's wage that works on the line. They buy things like houses and get loans from um..... You.
Sometimes there is no US made alternative such as T.Vs and computers so you have to go with what's available.
As stated in the above post, I don't care what manufacturer car you drive. I know that foreign cars are cheaper and that most people don't really care about the US unless it's trendy but you shouldn't rag on someone being a bad patriot with their vehicles when yours wasn't even made here.

and as i said in MY last post, you can't give me one good reason why ragging on someone's ****ed up sticker is even comparable to purchasing a german car. here's the tie-in: Patriotism.

i already explained how my purchased helped just as many Americans as would the purchase of an American car. the only difference in examples is, is that MY purchase is a direct contribution. there was an American salesperson that got direct commission from my purchase and that $$$ was directly circulated in our economy.

so go show me an assembly line worker at GMAC that's taking his wife out to dinner because somebody purchased 1 outta the 100 cars that got timing belts placed in them directly by the worker the previous day. won't ****in happin. that's because their income and fate rests in the decisions of the corporation itself and the corporation decides when or when not to lay them off. the consumers affect the corporation as a mass BUT not as individuals so arguements like that (much like 'rock the vote' arguements) just stroke off weak patriotism disguised in individual pride.

and plenty of Americans make computers. i have a dell laptop & phillips tv. NOT because i'm illusioned to think my purchase stuck up for my country.....but because they were on sale. it's called The American Way. try it sometime.

exactly. so in the end, it's a bunch of countries working together to make **** happen. it's been like that ever since the global economy has existed. economies are NOT shifted by individual consumer's patriotism. the rise and decline of foreign dollars, natural resources, and jobs are shifted in the hands of politicians, corporations, and good ol' fear.

as with captalism, the rich will dictate everything. 'buy American' is a ****in stupid slogan to make the poor and middle classes endlessly convince themselves that they are in control. it's an illusion beyond humor.

I've tried a few times to reply to this statement but each time it ended with threats of violence and name calling. I'm done with this discussion.., not cause I think you're right but becase when you say **** like that it's really pointless.
