OK kids, I am buying DVDs online right now since there isn't much to do here at work. As usual I need your educated opinion on what movies are worth buying.

I have bought The Last Samurai and Scent of a Woman so far. I am thinking about a couple horror movies, some action flicks, anything.

Gracias.

I, Robot was pretty good. I ended up watching it by mistake and I thought it was gonna suck ass since Will Smith is in it, but it surprised me.

The Green Mile made me cry like a little girl: "Don't put me in the dark, boss *grabs tissue*

I was pretty bad. If you like cheap scares, you might like it. I mean no plot, you can see miles away who is gonna die and how. I was telling myself: "alright, there is no way in hell this stupid ass director is gonna create a scene where the dumb ass girl pokes here head though the ****ing hoooooole.... **** no! And I bet the evil ***** is gonna grab her.... HAHAHA, I'm psychic. God damnit, should I start throwing pop corn at the screen?, everyone else seems to hate this movie as much as I do"

That was a part of the conversation with myself during that crapof a movie.

Get a Netflix account. For $18 a month you can rent all you want with no late fees. They have a way better selection than Blockbuster. No late fees. No shipping costs. No hassle what so ever. I love my Netflix.

I think certain movies are keepers, some you just rent, and others you ****ing play freezebe with like the Grudge.

Anyway, back on topic for Mr. Bub. When I buy dvd's, I try to think of movies that have replay value. Like I bought the sixth sence when it came out because i really liked it, but I've never sat down and watched it again. Movies like half-baked, dazed and confused have soooo much replayability. I also try to find good dvds to watch that involve the use of illegal drugs so you can watch them in case you have a couple of peeps over smoking out or doing some blow.

Nuno

Office Space has good replay value. The part when they f'up the printer is my favorite.

army of darkness was a major disgrace to the evil dead series.

VulgarTheClown
01-23-2005, 09:11 AM
Army of darkness was a great movie. nothing like the first 2 but still a great film. It was god. Funny, a lil bit creepy and it had plenty of action. not to mention Duke Nukem 3d took all thier lines from the film.

Purity
01-23-2005, 12:53 PM
the lines. Ash gives some kickass lines. that's the only good thing about that movie. but, come on.....the skeleton army???? we went from watching human bodies getting maimed in the most epic ways possible in the first 2 series to a cheesey clay animated army of darkness.

why do think they didn't bother using the "evil dead" name to part 3? because there was nothing EVIL about those dead. this trilogy is Evil Dead 1, Evil Dead 2, Silly Dead 1. **** that.
