Earlier today we wrote that Shane Carwin himself confirmed that he would be competing at UFC 104.
Now word has surfaced that the UFC's two young guns in the heavyweight division will face off in the UFC's return to Los Angeles.

Undefeated fighters Cain Velasquez and Shane Carwin will be featured at UFC 104 alongside the Lyoto Machida / Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua light heavyweight title bout in October.

Here's what Carwin had to say regarding the bout, "Oops I was not supposed to say anything. Got to get used to people watching me. No bout agreement yet. Looks like Cain and I if all goes."

this is a foolish move by the UFC. pitting 2 up and coming fighters with great potential, against each other. They should fight each other when one of them has the title, otherwise this fight is nonsense.

i thought the UFC would do this, make them fight each other to get to lesnar. probably the loser of this fight will fight the loser of lesnar - mir
