kswizzy99 07-01-2009, 01:56 AM EA Sports sucks. I can't imagine them making a better game than Undisputed.
GroundSt.Pound 07-01-2009, 02:46 AM Dana is behind this bull**** guaranteed.
This is really starting to piss me off. This kind of bull**** is what's going to cause this sport to fall apart. The UFC always feels the need to step on the little guy so they can dominate the MMA scene.
Dana doesn't realize they need the competition to succeed. Yet he continues to think the only way is to decimate the competition.
I hope Fedor signs with EA just to spite Dana.
F l i c k e r 07-01-2009, 02:56 AM lmfao! Are they serious. Nah, they aren't serious. They are just saying that to scare people. Then when Fedor gets on the game and then Fedor is finally like "Okay, whatever. I will fight for the UFC." they will sign his ass with the quickness.

EA sucks?, I thought THQ's the one who sucks coz they struggled on their previous year...this is another situation wherein Dana is taking away Fighter's extra payday outside of the UFC which totally an oppressive thing to do, I mean fighters earn more from sponsorships and royalties than fighting inside the UFC

maybe so, but this is also a big blow to EA which is karma for them spending hundreds of millions of dollars on exclusive rights to NFL games and NCAA games. Especially since they didn't make the best NFL game nor the best NCAA games.
Although I don't think Undisputed will be tested by EA sports' MMA so Dana would have nothing to worry about, I still like this statement cuz EA is a ***** company that deserves to get a taste of their own medicine.
Left2theliver 07-01-2009, 02:07 PM DAna's starting to REALLY annoy me...i seriously hope the UFC removes him in the future. Not a very good spokeman for the sport...
Palma 07-01-2009, 03:04 PM That is ridiculous if it is true and stupid on Zuffa's part!
these guys are border-line mafia!
taker1570 07-01-2009, 05:26 PM Idk man, Undisputed was real good. THQ set the bar high.
Lucky Charms 07-01-2009, 09:37 PM Well that means Tito Ortiz will be in the game for sure.
Nodogoshi 07-01-2009, 10:12 PM Sounds like a clear case of torturous interference to me.
Of course it seems that the UFC's operations are not confined by prevailing law so they'll probably get away with it.
MetalVomit 07-01-2009, 10:24 PM Dana's a hoe. crybaby, "waaa, waaa, I can't have every single competitor, and if they try to succeed without fighting exclusively for me, it somehow automatically makes them a piece of **** in my eyes, waaa, waaa".
cry me a ****ing river Dana.
boxingp4p 07-01-2009, 10:43 PM Well that means Tito Ortiz will be in the game for sure.
tito's already in ufc undisputed , i bet dana put a small clause in his contract to get his exclusive likeness for future video games so i dont think he'll be in ea mma . Danas a b*stard for having all things covered for fighters to earn as little as possible from outside revenue
Nodogoshi 07-01-2009, 11:10 PM I can see a potential law suit coming out of this. I'm not joking though, I think the Ferretis have already paid judges off.
S H O B O X 07-01-2009, 11:37 PM danas an ******* , he thinks that the best mma fighters come from the ufc , i remember when arlovski was the ufc champ dana was kissing his ass saying he was better than fedor and when arlovski leaves the ufc and fights fedor and loses dana says he has no chin!!!!! the guy is a complete ******* and would sell his mother for a dollar. He and joe "im tough because i watch ufc" rogan can go **** themselves . They are everything thats wrong with the sport.
In an interview:
Joe rogan: " i love boxshing, boxshings a great sport , i love pernell whitaker"
2 mins later.........(after having a harsh word from dana from his headset)
Joe Rogan "boxshing is nothing compared to ufc , boxshing is gettin swallowed by our sport"
I miss pride:

how could there be a law suit on this? its not like the UFC came out with an official statement. this is just a rumor. a rumor that even if true, can never be proven cuz you can't prove that UFC isn't signing fighters because they were in this game. UFC can just say that they don't think the fighters are good enough for the UFC.
This kind of law suit would have no chance of succeeding.

Honestly I will never understand the UFC nutthuggers.

Same here bro. I grew up on that good ol' Pride. If Pride would have never got their Yakuza ties out in the public eye. Pride would still be killing it right now.
Savino 07-02-2009, 07:15 PM I won't be buyin a EA version of an MMA game after the disapointment of Fn4.
kswizzy99 07-03-2009, 02:01 AM The thing is my post was not flawed, as was indicated by my prior reference to the UFC's act as torturous interference.
As such, it would seem to me that you were in large part baselessly defending the UFC.
I defended the UFC on good ground.
and I'm neither a nut-hugger nor a hater. you are obviously a UFC hater. hating on the UFC doesn't make sense to me. an organization like the UFC is necessary, whether their fighters are under paid or not. the UFC is the lesser of all evils.
Phenomkidd 07-03-2009, 02:24 AM EA is money hungry, they say THQ put out a decent MMA game that people shelled out for so they want a piece of the cake. THQ will most likely release one when they do for compteition purposes. They are already established so they have that but EA has the nbame brand thing going on for sports. According to EA Fight Night and EA MMA will alternate years. So next year is EA MMA 2010, then the next year Fight Night Round 5, and so on.
I wish EA would pick back up AFL and improve the game.

Pride was bought out by Zuffa what does that have to do with any media ties. UFC wanted to squash the competition.

Yakuza are Japanese mafia.
And Pride was discredited by controversies, primarily involving the Yakuza, which led to their television contract being canceled which led to their decline and eventual usurping by Zuffa.
DeltaSigChi4 07-03-2009, 04:18 AM Dana White is a cancer to the sport. And to humankind itself.

I know who the Yakuza are :).
Zuffa would have eventually found a way to discredit, own, etc. them because they were such a major player in MMA at the time. It was UFC and Pride back in the day. The two supremes of MMA.

I think you are underestimating the scale of the Japanese market. Prime for prime Pride was more of a force then the UFC in MMA. The UFC may be the most dominant player at the present but the center of the MMA world is still Japan imo.

The center of the MMA world at this time is definitely America, no nut-huggin. Most MMA want to goto the UFC for exposure and the compeitions, most fighters dream of comng to the UFC because it is considered the major league org of the MMA circuit.
BTW I like how the japanese fans are always respectful which is nice but they also need that energy at times.
kswizzy99 07-03-2009, 09:49 AM Honestly I will never understand the UFC nutthuggers.
how do you connect that post with nut-hugging? I like mma. I could careless if its UFC, Dream, Strikeforce.....
I was simply pointing out your flawed post.
