The UFC launched a TV show yesterday on ****e TV called the Ultimate Fighter. TV isn't the only thing Zuffa has been working on. Get ready for UFC the Movie to begin taping in the upcoming months.

UFC President Dana White told MMAWeekly "We are not really in negotiations anymore. We did the (movie) deal. John Hurtsfeld is going to be the director and writer of the movie...."

So who will star in the lead row for the movie? The UFC President said "As far as actors go, I've been friends with Mark Wahlberg for a long time and John Hurtsfeld is friends with him too. So, he and I are both pushing for Wahlberg to be the lead in the movie but we don't have a deal with him yet."

So how much money is it going to cost the UFC to produce? Nothing according to White. "This movie isn't' costing us a dime. It's a studio deal."

There are two studios right now negotiating to be the studios to get the opportunity to make the movie.

"The script isn't even done yet." White said. "The premise of the movie is just hanging around with the fighters and an inside glimpse into the fight world. The director will be flying out to spend a couple of weeks with the Miletich Camp and has already visited the R-1 Training center."

The guy in the movie's name will probably be Dakota or some other trendy soap opera name. The UFC will be made to look like the holly Mecca of martial arts and the bad guy in the movie will be Japanese. I can appreciate what Zuffa is doing trying to market MMA but IMO they're doing it all wrong.

Why would they need Mark Wahlberg to star in it if it was a documentary?
