I'd go Sugar Ray by decision

As good as Whitaker was, Sugar Ray would just be to slick a boxer for him.

It's not really a matter of SRL being to slick for Pea because Pea was as slick as they come.

SRL was a natural Welter and was a king at 147. Peas best weight was at 135 where it was almost impossible to hit the ****er and he would outquick everybody.

If Pea had to fight SRL at 147 it wouldn't be a very fair fight. SRL would win a comfortable decision.

Ray Leonard....was a SPECTACULAR fighter, & a great one, at 147.

When I rate guys on a pound-4-pound basis, I really don't include the weight difference in my analysis. Although in reality it makes a difference. Let's just say if both guys met in their primes with their boxing skills and athletic talent at their peaks. I would pick Sugar Ray Leonard, for the simple fact that he's just the overall better fighter, I think it would be the 1st time that Sweet Pea would get tagged more so than any other of his fights and a good chance he may get knocked out, if he tries any of the cute stuff against Leonard.

id take sugar ray because i think he would go slugger because everyone knows sweet pea was no homerun hitter ray would swarm him

sugar ray in his prime was awesome, he could slug it out, that is probably how he would win that fight, by outpowering sweet pea
