What do you people think?

My cousin is seling me his '96 Jetta (Automatic, sunroof, 130k milles). It has a couple scratches here and there and a crack in the front bumper, the interior is well preserved and it has a CD player and a CD changer in the trunk.
In return, he is getting my set of stock 2005 15" Honda Civic silver rims and 500 bucks. The blue book value of that car is $4500.

I think it's a sweet deal, what do you think, son?


PS: I don't wanna get an SUV, I am not a midget with a complex. Also, I don't particularly like american sedans. So save your european cars suck or buy an SUV comments. This car is for my father anyway; Pops is driving my beat up '85 BMW.

The car is running good, son. I always wanted to tear apart a Jetta, so this is the perfect opportunity. I have experience messing with the bimmer, so a VW will not be a problem.

It sounds like a great deal. If you don't like the car you can always put a "for sale make offer" sign in it and see what you get. 130 K on that type of car isn't too bad.
Personally, if it's just a 2nd car I'd sell it and get what you want to play with. If not, it should be good transportation for you.
