...the Yanks are starting to suck at this too, even though they still have that "We are America, we are superior" attitude.

TUF USA vs UK was a joke as far as the Americans were concerned.

The first was an all UK final (won by the impressive Ross Pearson) and then, just to top it off, the guy who was CLEARLY far superior to any other fighter on the USA team (DeMarques Johnson) gets his ass handed to him inside a round by James Wilks (watch this space, remember the name - BIG things!), suffering quite a beatdown in the process. (This is the same James Wilks who quite literally destroyed Frank Lester twice)

Very impressed with the quality of the guys who won it in the end though, and look forward to them making their Octagon debut "for real".

Thats the best fighters UK has to offer. USA has better fighters than that already in the UFC. Nobody on this show from 170 down beats BJ.

I don't think a reality game show is the best basis for comparison..

Agreed, that's like saying that the Contender is the best way to find out who the top guys in boxing are.

I agree. The UK team worked better as a unit and they were a lot more focused than the Americans.

The first was an all UK final (won by the impressive Ross Pearson)

Sorry, bro. But Ross Pearson was not that impressive at all. His fight win Andre was a clinch fest from hell. Ross will get eaten alive by most LW's.

I was pulling for Andre to win the whole thing. He trains with guys like Dan Hardy and Paul Daley (whom is arguably the best WW striker in MMA) I was disappointed.

If you looks at some of Demarques' fights before he came on the show, it's clear even though he was the USA's best fighter, he could never hang with any WW's in the UFC. His striking is sub-par and his grappling is pretty average

Isn't it about Prospects though?

Of course the Uk wont be better, but if we are a fifth as good then we are doing well.
