Should be an exciting fight. Gatti by decision.

What about the possibility of cuts by virtue of headbutts? A very real possibility.

I don't know why you would say that, but if it's because of Macho Camacho Jr's fight against Leija then it was just one head butt... Neither fighter has had problems like that often.

Neither fighter has had problems like that often. Both fighters have problems cutting easily and frequently. You must have them confused with someone else. Leija leads with his head EVERY damn fight and Gatti has so much scar tissue it's ridiculous.

Boxrec will only tell you so much. Both guys have problems with cuts, Devil.

I know Gatti gets cut easily, bro. I know the man personally. What I said was that Leija's only head butt I recall is the one on Camacho Jr. I don't remember any other time when "the man that always leads with his head" has head butted another fighter.

Getting cut, yes. By virtue of head butts, not so sure.

OK, head "clash" then. I didn't mean to imply Leija was malicious with his head just that he often "clashes" heads because his style often calls for him to be inside and he will do it. It results in head "clashes" sometimes. If he "clashes" heads with Gatti there's a high liklihood of a cut occurring, possibly ending the fight.

I think it's a higher chance of one or both being cut in this fight than of the fight going the whole distance. If it doesn't go the distance I think cutting will be the culprit moreso than anyone getting KTFO.

Let's just all hope it doesn't end up in an early TKO via cuts. That would suck.

That would be awful. However, it has a better than average chance of happening anytime Gatti gets in the ring now. Its a shame too, he has the heart of a lion. Thats why he wouldn't have a chance against someone like Mayweather. Mayweather wouldn't give Gatti a chance to brawl and will cut him from the outside. Too bad, because if Mayweather got brave and decided to brawl (like he has done before) Gatti would walk threw everything Flyod hit him with.

Are you kidding me? I like Gatti too, but come on now. Walk through everything Floyd hit him with? That's pretty ridiculous. I don't know how many fights you've seen of Floyd, but the guy has surprising power. Just ask Diego Corrales and Angel Manfredy. Floyd's power doesn't come to mind when you talk about him because it's his overwhelming speed that most people recognize first.

If you think Ivan Robinson or Manfredy touched Gatti up pretty good, just think of the damage Mayweather could do to him.

You need to stay in OT, chubbs. Gatti's camp is trying to prolong his reign as Junior Welterweight by avoiding Floyd.
I have followed Arturo Gatti's for as long as I can remember and I think his camp is doing the right thing, the man needs to get a couple more boxing matches make some money then get the big money fight against Floyd, lose and retire.

I like Gatti. He's a good guy and he fights with a lot of heart. But Bub is right. Floyd can and will kick his ass. In fact, it's a BAD match-up for Gatti if you ask me. Floyd can slug or box or slug and box. Gatti won't be able to deal with Floyd's speed, footwork and power.

The thing that makes Gatti the man is that he looks like that most of the time in voctory. True warrior.

You know what I mean. Unless Gotti totally outclasses his opponet, it usually is a very entertaining slugfest. Gues "JEsse James" just wasn't as good as advertised. Hahaha.

Leija is way past his prime. He got this shot based on his performance against Bojado, a guy who's pretty much overrated. Gatti knocking him out wasn't much of a surprise.

Everyone just wanted to see in how many rounds Gatti was gonna take him out since it took Floyd 9.

i know Floyd will be the favorite and has more skill than Gatti, but i just have a feeling he might get the suprise victory if he can stay away from having the fight stopped by cutts.
