That's excellent! Ezzard is my favourite fighter and is often overlooked when people consider the sports all time greats. This is fantastic, excellent find.

One of the true legends of the sport. Overlooked way too often. Here in Cincinnati we have an Ezzard Charles Drive, and I bet most people on that street couldn't tell you who it was named for. It's truely sad, he's one of the greatest.

Charles was without doubt one of the greatest fighters of all time yet on boxing forums today members log down their ATG top 10 heavyweights and there is never a mention of Ezzard Charles, with excuses of, "Oh he was only a cruiserweight, too small, he would be killed by Klits, Lewis, Valuev etc etc etc.. the name of the game is Boxing and Ezzard Charles could do it as good as anyone in history.. forget all this garbage about too small, we have had giant-size fighters in our sport for over 100yrs and they lost because of their lack of ability, the same would happen today if the Klitschkos, Lewis, Valuev etc was to have fought a James Toney or an Ezzard Charles or a Cassius Clay or a Gene Tunney.. size means nothing, size is a negative
