Machida is -600 against Shogun

I think I might have to throw a C-note on Shogun with those odds.

Plus Bob Sapp is +400 against Bobby Lashley.

Not really. He's had some good win in MMA and in K-1 and he has experience. Even though he is a freakshow, putting him as an underdog against Lashley who hasn't looked very good doesn't make much sense

Shogun beats Machida...so well worth putting money down on him.

lol he koes chuck liddell in a rd and suddenly everyone thinks the
shogun of old is back. just rewind one fight to shogun - coleman
and tell me how the ****in hell is he gonna beat machida like that.

ive not seen anything from shogun to show hes back to form.
just one big shot and a flashy finish over a guy koed twice in his
last 4 fights. and by single shots.

shogun is gonna get schooled, hes gonna get stopped and not
because im a fan of machida, i aint, but because hes shit now.

agreed. although I don't agree that shogun's conditioning was the same in the coleman fight as it was in the liddell fight, I do agree that Machida is gonna school Shogun.

Those odds don't surprise me. He's the champion, 7-0 in the UFC having never dropped a round, the consensus Number 1 fighter in his weight class and throughout his career has never been beat. Shogun is so far 1-2 in the UFC with his wins coming against two former champions one of which and hadn't fought in over 2 years and the other who had been KO'ed twice in his last 4 fights and was 1-4 in the last 2 years. Machida is rightfully the favourite.

These odds are insulting. Shogun is the former #1 LHW in the world, the youngest ever Pride MWGP winner with a win over the Former UFC LHW Champion.

People are really overlooking Shogun. Yeah he hasn't looked great in his first two UFC showings, but with 2 ruptured ACL's you wouldn't either. He has a good 5 months to train hard for this fight and he'll be in shape and ready to go

I don't underestimate nor do I overlook Shogun with regards to his accomplishments or his standing. I base the odds purely on current form rather than what he did 4 years ago. He's KO'ed a former champion yes, Machida KO'ed the champion. Shogun KO'ed a 38 year old shell of his former self fighter who was already on the downward spiral, Machida KO'ed the champion, on the rise and a live opponent at that. Machida will come prepared like he always does and it has served him very well his entire career. Shogun needs to win this and win it decisively to prove that he is truly back to his previous form.

Shogun wont beat Machida even if he has returned to his old form.
It will not matter.

I think Shogun's style is a great matchup against Machida's and can lead to a fight of the year all-out war!

I will be rooting for Shogun but this will be the fight that tells us where Shogun REALLY is in his progress. Even a hard fought decision loss to Machida is a win for Shogun.

Its good bet on SHOGUN.
MACHIDA is great but I think SHOGUN is little bit better.
SHOGUN has way more experience and he will beat MACHIDA on the ground!

Shogun will stop the machida hype train dead with a muay thai knee to the jaw.
