Takada had a press conferance this morning and announced the fight. I think this is a bad match up for Silva, I believe he will need too take this fight too the ground too win. I dont think he can sub or KO the big man, but may be able to work a GnP Decision......

im actually pulling for Hunt in this one. Not because i dislike Silva, because i do, but because someone has to beat him eventually right? :)

Hunt's cardio is gonna a big factor in this fight. I heard everyone saying that Hunt cannot be knocked out, but this are MMA gloves and you don't have to break when clinching. I am not saying that Silva is gonna KO him, but I don't think it's impossible.

i agree on the cardio, especially after seeing this pic.
everyone is also seemingly saying that silva is the man for taking the fight and bein outweighed by 60 pounds, but what about Hunt taking the fight on a weeks notice? Unless he was training hard for a fight anyhow, i'd say that takes more balls, especially against the axe murderer in an unbelievable streak of wins.
It's unpredictable. I love it. I like both fighters, but I'll be rooting for Silva as usual.

GoOoOOOooo HUNT!
Actually I am turning into a Silva fan since his last fight against Rampage. What gets interesting now is seeing him have hardly any opponents in his weightclass right now and hearing all these rumors about him prolly having to fight the big boys.......... and looks like thats gonna happen now. i personally see Silva winning this fight for personal reasons, theres no reason why he can't.
Remember.... Silva did beat Yoshida and Yoshida beat Hunt, go figure. But this is MMA, I can't say that nothing is impossible, I've always like seeing Hunt fight in K-1 and like seeing Silva's competition getting more steep.. more interesting is him having to fight heavyweights, as I've always agreed that his competition was BELOW par on an overall, and he is now proving me wrong. I'm kinda lookin forward to it.
On a side note, I would like to see Belfort vs Silva II. That would kick ass.

I'll be rooting for Hunt, its easyer to get koed with K-1/Boxing gloves than it is with MMA gloves so I dont see Hunt getting koed. Silva still has a suspect chin, he often gets dropped in fights, yeah he recovers quick but I dont think he has fought anyone that hits as hard as Hunt. If he gets caught he will go down....
