December 27, 2004 -- MARK Wahlberg is in talks to star in a movie about the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Producer Trent Othick says the actor is in negotiations to beef up and tackle a role in the film about the league, in which combatants engage in bloody, bare-knuckle brawls in an octagon-shaped ring. UFC owners Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta are executive producers, and John Herzfeld will write and direct. The Feritta brothers recently completed 13 episodes of "The Ultimate Fighter," a reality series for ****e TV.
