-Before its said and done- The CD opens up after a brief intro, and the second you hear the smooth beat, you know this is about to be vintage AZ. He flows immaculately, speaking about living life to the fullest, never letting a second go by... I found this track to be somewhat motivational, he paints a picture of the good life with his lyrics and this song could not be any better. "Do it big atleast once before its all said and done" 5/5

-Livin the Life- The beat doesnt really drop until about 30 seconds, another smooth track, he spits exactly about the track title, explaining how hes been doing it big for an ill minute, shouts out to everyone who did what they had to do to get money, and does it AZ style. A little unsure about the beat, he flowed real nice, and the lyrics were there. This track gets a 4/5

-Boy Meets Girl- I had to listen to this joint 3-4 times before really making my decision on it... The beat and song is real R&B, but AZ flows basically perfect, hes on that gentleman gangster tip on this joint, i felt like he killed the 1st verse. Sheek Louch comes out of left field and actually goes in, makes a good feature no doubt... The 3rd verse is what sold me on this track, AZ's lyrics and flow are perfect. 4.5/5

-Refuse to Die- Plain and simple, three wild verses, this song has that old school AZ feel to it.. The beat is top notch, AZ gets real G on this, talking about switching up his phone lines, dipping police, speaking real deep on how graphic the lifestyle is... Vintage AZ 5/5

-Dreams Come True- The beat is the downfall of this track, there is some real content here, AZ spits about watching your back, and doing whatever it takes to get by.. But basically saying that you can really make it happen.. Im feeling the content and the message, but this track is just missing something... 3.5/5

-Good For Nothin- The beat drops, and unfortunatly its a beat ive heard on several different tracks by other artists... Though i admit, AZ does his thing, spits about people in his life who let him down... Again, some real content, strong lyrics, poor beat selection.. again i got to go 3.5/5

-Money Makes the World go Round- After two beats that i would consider sub par, money makes the world go round is a short step up, but this joint is about as creative as it gets.. the 2nd verse AZ shouts out some of hip hops biggest names but does it in a way that gives there name a meaning..."Swizz beat *****s down, timberland on there ribs, Pharrell *****s front til the dr. gotta dre em, the truth from the roots let my shooters andre em, 3000 shots from the big boi glock... You got to feel this... 5/5 due to the how creative this song is.

-What up- AZ takes a little bit to get in his zone, but ends up finishing his verse up very strong... i cant decide if im feeling the beat, it has somewhat of a slow feel to it.. Sheek louch makes his 2nd appearance, on both the hook, and spits a verse... This sounds more like a song that should be on a sheek album, because sheek goes hard on the verse, but only half decent on the chorus... Hell Rell comes out of left field and drops the best verse ive ever heard him spit... real talk.. rell goes in! This is a hard song to score... ill got with a solid 4/5 because the guest appearances worked out.

-Poli With the Villains- AZ goes in, he spits real hard, he is basically sending a message in this song that basically no one in hip hop can **** with him... Suggesting that him and Nas would be the new death row. No1 wants it with AZ. 4/5, unfortunatly i got to be a critic, he lost a point for the beat.

-Get Money- AZ paints a serious picture here, great lyrics, he gets real old school new york here... Solid joint. 4/5

There, you heard the truth from yours truly... AZ puts out another very solid album... short, but undoubtably solid. "Before its said and done", "Refuse to die", and "Money Makes the world go round" are hands down three top notch tracks... AZ is truly one of the few left of a dying breed, his flow is truly his own and could never be replicated.. Unfortunatly, legendary in my opinion will be overlooked by very average beat selection, that at times takes away from his true lyrical ability.... But at the end of the day, AZ will keep you pressing rewind, and his lyrics catch you off guard... If youve followed AZ's career for a while now, or are just a fan of real lyricism.. then Legendary will keep you busy, and will follow up with some legitimate replay value... Cant wait for the album on the 30th..

I listened to this when it first dropped. It's okay. He should have rapped over that intro. I liked that beat.

this is much, much better than the new one, which is terrible.

can you elaborate?

AZ's always nice lyrically, but terrible production and worst guest appearances.
