BitTorrent Websites Call It a Day
Rather than face a costly legal battle with the major film studios, several websites that enable users to download movies, records and other software with the BitTorrent program have shut down since being notified that they were being sued. The Associated Press reported on Monday that among those to shut down was one of the most popular file-sharing sites, Suprnova.org. A statement posted on the site said, "We are very sorry for this, but there was no other way, we have tried everything." Other sites that shut down included N4p.com, torrentbits.org and torrents.com.

That's how it will always be. The larger ones will keep shutting down when they get too big and the smaller ones will still remain until the people move to them next and then the cycle will continue.

You don't really have to pay for something like that. Just find a good tracker site, or log onto IRC. Although I have to admit, for all they offer 10$ does sound like its worth it just for the fact you don't have to do all the work that you have to do with IRC.

Something else will come along. The MPAA and the RIAA don't seem to get it. They can't win a battle in this manner. Shutting down ways to get music and movies is pointless because something new always comes back up. It always will, you can't stop it.
What they need to do is lower the cost of movies and music. Make it so thats affordable to go to the movies, or setup thier own downloadable content thats both cheap and accessable. They need to win over a group of people that are young, tech savge, connected but not very rich. This is a hearts and minds battle, and the RIAA and MIAA are thier own worst enemies.
