wow.

i am speachless. completely.

When the mom said she is just happy the baby is still here i could do nothing but think how the child would be MUCH better off not.

The trauma that will be put upon that child in her life is such an ammount that i don't think anyone of us could even come CLOSE to fathoming.

i'm completely at a loss. well apparently i'm not after writing all that.

but still.. man......

If only people would see her heart and not instantly judge her superficially… the fact that she has to have so many operations, is a representation of how our society judges strictly superficially. If this was a society that judged through the heart, none of this would be necessary because we would accept her for who she is. Many of you say that this makes religion look bad; but in fact it makes everyone as a whole look bad because it shows us first hand what we value most in this society: looks above heart. That is why I value religion/Christianity so much… Jesus taught that one is not to be judged by mere appearance or superficiality, but rather by his heart and inner-beauty – not by what society defines and beautiful. If you are so quick to bad-mouth religion as a whole because of this issue, first take a look within yourselves… who’s the hypocrite? I'm not trying to start a fight here, I'm just trying to start an awareness of what really matters in this life. I believe that beauty lies within a person's heart, not within his physical appearance. And I will and have dedicated my life to showing people that very fact.

Are you ****ing serious? The operations aren't for the benefit of those who have to look at her! Of course, aesthetics will mean something to her and her parents but the surgery is necessary for her to live normally. It's for her to be able to function, eat, even sleep without difficulty! There's a reason for the bones in our face, jaw and head man.

They protect the underlying muscles, organs and blood vessels. The surgeries are NECESSARY! Ever hear something to the effect of "Perception drives Reality?" This incident doesn't make "religion" look bad to me. Most religious institutions do that themselves. They're greedy and avaricious businesses. They're run by MEN and WOMEN! The leaders usually reflect the same qualities and desires as those in the secular world; they want prestige, power and money and corrupt those institutions accordingly.

It’s a fallacy to make a judgment on religion due to the followers whom you’ve encountered who represent that religion. Judge the religion by the religion, not the hypocritical followers.

That's true. Just don't expect me to judge it more righteous by it's supposed faultless followers either. i.e. Jesus or anyone else. There are more than one criteria by which people form opinions of religion(s) and personal experience is foremost imo. I've searched on my own. I don't need another opinion of a seeker unless I judge them to be especially credible and objective.

That is rarely the case.

I like you more and more as the posts come out.
Very well said. I am not as good with my words as you are, but I agree with everything you just said.
