GeNeRaL 12-13-2004, 09:35 PM congrats MCM, i've just stepped on the scale for the first time since july and i've lost 35 pounds without even trying to lose weight. just from training a few days a week and eating *smarter*. (was 277, now 242) I'm going to try to get to 205 by summertime by just continuing training and eating well, but i'll take what it brings me. I feel great :)
nance 12-13-2004, 09:36 PM Congrats Deacon! I've been working on it here, but finally got somewhere.
BTW, what's 18kg translated into lbs?

That's fantastic General!!! Congratulations!!!! I want to get back to the kickboxing, but not until I get the A-Okay from the doctor. I have some anger issues to get out...lol, but I'm not setting myself back again. No way! I think eating smarter has been my thing too...didn't really try, just ate what looked good...and that's been the healthy stuff. ;-)

nance 12-13-2004, 11:36 PM That sounds like Cancer.
Maybe in 5 weeks..but's it's been 5 months. One of my friends has lost 30 lbs over the summer just by changing her diet and exercising more.
GeNeRaL 12-13-2004, 11:43 PM Cancer lol? hmm, no. Maybe i made it sound like i didnt do anything at all....my bad.
I went from doing nothing to ttraining 3 days a week, sometimes four, running about 2 miles a day, 3 days a week for about 3 months, and changing my diet. I cut out white flour and sugar for the most part, eat my carbs in the morning and protein at night and through the day, and instead of grabbing a handful of cookies and wendy's, i grab a handful of raw veggies.
At training we also do circuit training so there are weights involved as well. so while im not going to a "gym" and on Jenny craig, i just made some changes in my food intake and became more active.
about a pound and a half per week dropped as a result is not unrealistic. i actually probably lost more like 5-8 pounds in the first two weeks. lol

My co-worker just was telling me how he's decided to forgo sugar consumption and bread. That's a coincidence.
Congrats on the weight loss, man.
Squezze 12-14-2004, 09:25 AM I've lost weight too. I have no idea how much, but I can see my ribs for the first time since I was 7. I think it's called "starving to death".

Starving student or starving artist?
Squezze 12-14-2004, 05:17 PM Starving student or starving artist?
Starving student. I'm contemplating taking my last 10 bucks to go to McDonalds. I haven't been "full" in so long.
