does it take for physical therapy to kick in before one actually starts feeling better?

I just got done with my third session and my back muscles keep wanting to cramp up and I hurt worse than when I started.

Tell me to keep doing it and I will because I so want to say fluke it right now.

I'm such a wimp.

Having ten pound babies was easier than this.

Therapy is a long process... and there are many different factors that influence the recovery like: age, fitness level, and type of injury.

In some cases you will never feel the same and therapy will only aliviate the discomfort for a ashort period of time long after starting to treat the injury. I have bad knees and quit therapy because it wasn't doing anything for me. Therapy lasted for about 8 months... Now my knees gives out and goes limp every now and then, and it hurts like ****ing hell right before it starts raining.

Ok, that means it's gonna be awhile. *sigh* Although I feel too young to be this damn old. I'm not even 40 yet. Back injury, herniated discs. L4 and L5 due to my foot problem. It took over two years to be diagnosed correctly on that. I hate HMO's.

A major aspect that hasn’t been addressed yet for recovery, are the effects of stress. What I mean by that is, a majority of your pain as well as the length of your recovery time is purely psychological. Now of course I’m not saying it’s 100 percent psychological, I’m saying that the majority of your distress does not lie within the physical nature of your body, rather it lies in your mind. Any fighter here will agree with me because he knows that you can already lose or win a match before a fight by the type of mind frame that you put yourself in... the same goes with healing and reducing the levels of stress. That may seem a bit redundant to you, but it’s redundant and basic for a reason.

Kato, I have seen a massage therapist, but not lately. I'm thinking I'm going to pick up my phone here soon and call Micheal, my angel....lol. Thanks for the offer, I certainly appreciate it.

Mouse, unless I get rid of my husband, my kids and my dad, I'm always going to have the stress.

I am taking a mini vacation without the above mentioned right after Christmas. I am looking forward to that in more ways than one.
